直面するing '緊急', Japan switch coach two months before World Cup

Japan on Monday 指名するd 尊敬（する）・点d 退役軍人 Akira Nishino as its new 国家の football 経営者／支配人, taking an "緊急 手段" after sensationally ダンピング Vahid Halilhodzic only two months before the World Cup.
The 63-year-old Nishino 誇るs an impressive array of 国内の silverware and 操るd one of Japanese football's proudest moments: （警官の）巡回区域，受持ち区域ing a Brazil 味方する 含む／封じ込めるing Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos 1-0 at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
Nishino will have only 70 days with the Blue Samurai before they play their first match against Colombia in a 堅い World Cup pool that also 含むs Poland and Senegal.
"We thought the new director should be 任命するd from inside, given we have just two months left before the World Cup," Japan Football 協会 大統領 Kozo Tashima told reporters.
"We have asked Nishino to take this position as an 緊急 手段."
A former international midfielder who won 12 caps for his country, Nishino is best known for his stint at the 舵輪／支配 of Gamba Osaka, which he steered to the team's first Asian Club 選手権 in 2008.
This earned them the biggest match in their history, a World Cl ub Cup 半分-final 衝突／不一致 with a powerful Manchester 部隊d 味方する featuring Cristiano Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney, which they lost in a 5-3 thriller.

The tournament in Russia will be the sixth 連続する World Cup 外見 by the Blue Samurai, who made it to the last 16 in 2002 when Japan co-hosted the tournament with South Korea and again in 2010.
However, it was not a smooth path through to the 決勝戦.

It is not the first time Halilhodzic has been jettisoned just before a major tournament.
