フラン's Macron in Nigeria to talk 安全, 上げる cultural 関係
Macron arrived from the Mauritanian 資本／首都 Nouakchott, where he conferred with Sahel leaders on 安全
French 大統領 Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday sought 改善するd 関係 with English-speaking Africa, setting out a 計画（する） for closer 協調 with Nigeria to 取り組む 安全 challenges and 促進する a new 見通し of the continent 支援する home.
Macron arrived in the 資本／首都, Abuja, from Mauritania, where he met leaders on the sidelines of the final day of the African Union 首脳会議 that was 支配するd by 安全 問題／発行するs in the Sahel.
After 会談 with 大統領 Muhammadu Buhari, Macron said he was "really emotional" to be 支援する in the city where he spent six months as an 抑留する at the French 大使館 in the 早期に 2000s.
"I'm 極端に delighted to be 支援する," he told a 共同の news 会議／協議会 at the 大統領の 郊外住宅, joking that he had never 推定する／予想するd to return as 長，率いる of 明言する／公表する.
Since coming to 力／強力にする the 40-year-old leader has made a point of 上げるing 関係 with フラン's former 植民地s but also 改善するing 貿易（する） with anglophone countries.
He visited Ghana last year and Nigeria -- Africa's 経済的な powerhouse and the continent's 主要な oil 生産者 -- was the next 論理（学）の step.
Nigeria, a country home to over 180 million people, produces nearly two million バーレル／樽s of 天然のまま oil per day and is a 重要な 経済的な partner for フラン.
"フラン wants to do much more with Nigeria," he told Buhari, 約束ing フラン's "十分な support".

In Nouakchott, Macron held 会談 with the l eaders of the French-支援するd five-nation 軍の 軍隊 fighting Al-Qaeda-linked jihadists in the Sahel.
Niger and Chad, where フラン has a sizeable 軍の presence, are part of the "G5 Sahel" group, which has 直面するd a rise in attacks in 最近の days.
They are also members of a five-nation 地域の 軍隊 取り組むing Boko Haram in Nigeria's remote northeast.
Nine years of 暴力／激しさ have killed at least 20,000 people and 軍隊d more than 2.6 million others homeless, 誘発する／引き起こすing a 人道的な 緊急 in the wider Lake Chad area.

Nigeria is 現在／一般に gripped by a resurgence of 暴力／激しさ between nomadic cattle herders and 農業者s, which has （人命などを）奪う，主張するd some 1,000 lives since January this year.
国際アムネスティ last week said some 1,813 people have been killed in all types of 暴力／激しさ since the start of 2018.
That has put former 軍の 支配者 Buhari, 75, under 圧力 as he looks に向かって 安全な・保証するing a second 称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語 at 選挙s in February next year.

No elected 大統領，／社長 is believed to have 公式に visited the spiritual home of the いわゆる "黒人／ボイコット 大統領", which is more synonymous with マリファナ smoke and gyrating ダンサーs than 外交の niceties.
