Thailand 洞穴 救助(する): What now for the boys?

The 救助者s dubbed it "使節団 impossible" but they 反抗するd the 半端物s to 位置を示す the 12 boys and their football coach 深い in a 洞穴 コンビナート/複合体. However the hard part may yet be ahead: getting them out 安全に.

Here are a few ways the hungry and weak boys could get out, 非,不,無 平易な 選択s.

Could they dive out?

In theory yes: but it is an 極端に difficult 仕事. 洞穴 飛び込み is already very risky, 特に for young boys in a 弱めるd 明言する/公表する who have no 飛び込み experience.

Tham Luang 洞穴 where the boys have been 罠にかける is one of Thailand's longest at 10 kilometres (six miles) and one of the hardest to navigate with its winding and at times 狭くする 回廊(地帯)s.

If they dive, they have no choice but to follow the steps that 救助者s took though tiny passageways clogged with mud and silt.

That 旅行 takes a healthy -- and 技術d -- 海軍 SEAL diver about six hours.

公式の/役人s said they would 試みる/企てる to train the boys to use 決定的な 飛び込み gear after they are rehabilitated with food, water and 医療の support.

"洞穴 飛び込み is a very technical 技術 and it's 極端に dangerous, 特に for an untrained diver," Anmar Mirza, 調整者/コーディネーター of the US 国家の 洞穴 救助(する) (売買)手数料,委託(する)/委員会/権限, told AFP.

"So they may 結局最後にはーなる 存在 better off trying to 供給(する) them in 洞穴 until they can be gotten out by other means."

Could they be dug out?

Explorers have spent days scouring the mountain 最高の,を越す for possible 代案/選択肢 開始s. They have 設立する a few "約束ing" leads and have tried to 演習 deeper.

But there is no 指示,表示する物 that any of those chimneys connect to the 議会 where the boys have been 立ち往生させるd.

Again, the boys need to spend time getting stronger in the depths of the 洞穴 before they can 試みる/企てる to climb up a second 入ること/参加(者) -- if one is 設立する -- or be 解除するd out.

What about walking out?

This would be the safest 選択, but at the moment it is impossible because parts of the 大勝する remain flooded.

So in theory they could wait, but that means hoping that flood waters 沈下する.

Experts say they could remain inside for weeks -- or even months -- as rescuers work out the safest option for their extraction

Water pumps are working around the clock to drain the floods though it has been an 上りの/困難な 戦う/戦い for much of the week as 強い雨s 辞退するd to let up.

If the 現在の break in bad 天候 sticks, this 選択 could be more 約束ing.

But 天候 予報官s 警告する downpours may soon return as 季節風 season 始める,決めるs in.

"If the rain fills up the 洞穴 system then that might take months before the water 減少(する)s again," ベルギー diver Ben Reymenants, owner of Blue Label 飛び込み in Thailand who is 補助装置ing the search, told AFP.

How long could it take?

Hard to say for sure. It depends how long it takes for them to 回復する strength.

専門家s say they could remain inside for weeks -- or even months -- as 救助者s work out the safest 選択 for their extraction.

The 軍の said Tuesday it was 準備するing enough food for four months but did not 推測する they could be in there that long.

Are the boys even in the 権利 mindset to move?

They 明確に want to leave. In (映画の)フィート数 that 現れるd after the boys were 設立する by two British divers late Monday one asks to "go outside."

One of the diver replies "I know, I understand... no, not today."

Even if they are 肉体的に fit enough to dive, they will need the mental prowess to stay 静める in the murky waters and claustrophobic passageways that stand between them and freedom.

Fortunately, they seem in pretty good 形態/調整, considering.

"They're mentally stable which is 現実に pretty good," Reymenants said.

"Luckily the coach had the sanity of mind to keep them all together, 密談する/(身体を)寄せ集めるd together to 保存する their energy, that 基本的に saved them."
