Taiwan wiped the 前科s of 1,270 犠牲者s of the island's "White Terror" 粛清するs on Friday, the first time the 政府 has fully exonerated those who 苦しむd political 迫害 under 戦争の 法律.
The 犠牲者s, most of whom are dead, have been awarded "復古／返還 of honour" 証明書s under 連続する 政府s and 補償（金） has been paid to some families.
But 公式の／役人s said they 手配中の，お尋ね者 to 除去する their 前科s as part of 新たにするd 成果／努力s to 修正する 不正s.
Thousands of political 対抗者s were killed and 拘留するd during the White Terror period of 鎮圧 under 権威主義者 leader Chiang Kai-shek, who 支配するd Taiwan from 1949 to his death in 1975.

公式の／役人 記録，記録的な／記録するs 明言する／公表する around 140,000 people were tried by 軍の 法廷，裁判所s under Chiang's 国家主義者 Kuomintang (KMT) 政府 and as many as 8,000 遂行する／発効させるd. Many believe the actual numbers are higher.
The 粛清するs only ended after 戦争の 法律 was 解除するd by Chiang's son, Chiang Ching-kuo, in 1987.
"There are many people who cried in the dark for their parents or their brothers who were 逮捕（する）d and never （機の）カム 支援する. We have all 苦しむd under the 政権," 生存者 Chung Yi-jen, 98, told families and 犠牲者s at a 容赦ing 儀式 hosted by 大統領 Tsai Ing-wen Friday.
Chung was 刑務所，拘置所d for 14 years for 主要な a 非軍事の 対立 軍隊 against the KMT.

Tsai apologised to those who had died, 説: "This day （機の）カム too late. But 存在 late is better than never."
Chiang fled to Taiwan in 1949 after the KMT lost the civil war to 共産主義者 軍隊s on the 本土／大陸, but saw himself and his 政府 as the 合法的 支配者s of the whole of 中国.
Tsai's Democratic 進歩／革新的な Party (DPP), which now has a 議会の 大多数 with the KMT the main 対立, has its roots in the political movement that …に反対するd Chiang, and former 反逆者／反逆するs have become 最高の，を越す 公式の／役人s and 国会議員s.

"We did our time in 刑務所，拘置所. But all these years, in our hearts, we have never felt we were 有罪の of any 罪，犯罪s," 生存者 Tsai Kuan-yu, 86, told AFP.
He was 刑務所，拘置所d 老年の 29 for 13 years for subversion and 刺激するing independence, and had 以前 served a six-month 宣告，判決 for "刺激するing a classmate to ボイコット（する） class".

"My wish is that the people behind all this...will all be 逮捕（する）d," said Ou Yang Hui-mei, whose father was 刑務所，拘置所d for 12 years for his 協会 with an 対抗者 of the KMT.
She also called for statues of Chiang to be taken off public 陳列する，発揮する, 説 she 設立する them "disgusting".
