Uganda's 大統領 Yoweri Museveni visited eastern Bududa Sunday after 43 people died when a 地滑り 原因(となる)d a river to burst its banks, sending water and 玉石s cascading downhill.

Wearing 軍の uniform and carrying a cleft stick Museveni looked across the Sume river at the remains of Wanjenwa village which was 難破させるd by a 激流 of 激しく揺するs carried 負かす/撃墜する river by Thursday's deluge.

"Who 許すd them to build a market here?" he asked 公式の/役人s.

"Building on the flood plain of the river is very dangerous. 地元の 政府 have failed to 器具/実施する 規則s," Museveni told 新聞記者/雑誌記者s.

総理大臣 Ruhakana Rugunda on Sunday updated a previous death (死傷者)数 by one person.

"We can 確認する that 43 people have lost their lives but we are continuing to search for others," he said.

In March 2010, at least 100 people were killed in the same 山地の 地域, which lies on the 国境 between Uganda and Kenya and is a high-危険 area for 地滑りs.

Questioned about 延期するs to a resettlement program which was 最初 発表するd in 2010, Rugunda 非難するd "minor 行政の 問題/発行するs".

Although there may be "延期するs here and there they do not change the 原則 that these people must be 再定住させるd," he 追加するd.
