Eight Chadian 兵士s killed by 地雷 in jihadist area

At least eight 兵士s in western Chad were killed and many others 負傷させるd when their 乗り物 struck a landmine laid by 嫌疑者，容疑者／疑うd jihadists, 安全 sources and a 地元の 公式の／役人 said Thursday.
The 爆破 occurred on Wednesday at Kalam in the Lake Chad 地域, which has been 乱打するd by attacks from jihadists crossing from 隣人ing Nigeria.
The sources, speaking on 条件 of anonymity, put the （死傷者）数 at eight or nine dead and between 11 and 21 負傷させるd.
A 安全 source in Nigeria also gave the 人物／姿／数字 of nine dead and said the 装置 had 明らかに been laid by the Islamic 明言する／公表する West Africa 州 (ISWAP), a 後援 group of Nigeria's Boko Haram.
Kalam lies just five kilometres (three miles) from the Nigerian 国境.
One of the fatalities was a 指揮官 in the gendarmerie, the Chadian 軍の source said, 追加するing that 交流s of 砲火 broke out later Wednesday between 軍隊／機動隊s and jihadists in Bakaram, in the same 地域.
Boko Haram's 暴動, 開始する，打ち上げるd in northeast Nigeria in 2009, has killed more than 36,000 people and 追い出すd more than two m illion from their homes.

Chad says it has 8,000 軍隊／機動隊s in the troubled Lake Chad 地域 and has complained that it is shouldering the lion's 株 of the 安全 重荷（を負わせる）.
The MNJTF's "不快な／攻撃s have won victories and helped instil an esprit de 軍団 の中で 参加するing 軍隊／機動隊s," the International 危機 Group (ICG) think 戦車／タンク said in a 報告（する）／憶測 on Tuesday.
"But nimble 交戦的な 派閥s have 再編成するd 急速な／放蕩な, and the MNJTF's 有効性 has 苦しむd from 混乱 over 優先s, the four 明言する／公表するs' 不本意 to cede 命令（する） to the 軍隊 itself, and 基金ing and 調達 延期するs."

The 暴動 that began in northeast Nigeria is one of two jihadist 不快な／攻撃s that have 激しく揺するd the 壊れやすい Sahel.
The other began in northern Mali in 2012, then spread to the country's volatile centre, and into Burkina Faso and Niger.
Thousands of lives have been lost and hundreds of thousands of people have fled their homes, and the three countries, の中で the poorest in the world, have 苦しむd 大規模な 経済的な 損失.
The UN has （軍隊を）展開する，配備するd a 13,000-man peacekeeping 軍隊 in Mali, while フラン has 5,100 軍隊／機動隊s 駅／配置するd in the Sahel in its "Barkhane" anti-jihadist 使節団.
