Volvo 計画(する)s $2.9B IPO to 基金 electric 乗り物 ambitions

LONDON (AP) - Swedish 自動車製造業者 Volvo said Monday it 計画(する)s to raise at least 25 billion kroner ($2.9 billion) by selling 株 to 基金 its electric 乗り物 変形 戦略.

Volvo Cars and its parent company, Chinese carmaker Geely, have 適用するd to 持つ/拘留する an 初期の public 申し込む/申し出ing on the Nasdaq Stockholm, with 株 推定する/予想するd to start 貿易(する)ing before the end of the year.

The money raised from the IPO will help 基金 Volvo's lofty ambitions. The company 目的(とする)s to nearly 二塁打 sales by 2025 to 1.2 million 乗り物s, half of which will be 殴打/砲列 electric cars, and wants its entire 顔触れ to be all electric by 2030.

"We´re going to be the fastest in the 商売/仕事 to transform, to electrification - 2030 no more 燃焼 cars. And that´s just one one part," CEO Hakan Samuelsson said in an interview.

Most of Volvo´s 現在の 顔触れ is made up of plug-in hybrid and いわゆる 穏やかな hybrid models. 殴打/砲列 electric 乗り物s account for only a small fraction of the total sold.

Volvo is based in Goteborg, Sweden, but has been owned since 2010 by Geely, one of 中国's biggest 独立した・無所属 自動車製造業者s, which bought it from Ford for about $1.8 billion.
