Wisconsin 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）s QB Mertz as 疑わしい for Illinois game
MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Wisconsin is 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）ing quarterback Graham Mertz as 疑わしい for Saturday's game at Illinois after a chest 傷害 knocked him out of the 週末 loss to Michigan.
Mertz didn´t return to the Michigan game after Daxton Hill 解雇（する）d him 早期に in the third ４半期/4分の1 of the Wolverines' 38-17 勝利. Mertz 表明するd 楽観主義 Monday that he'd be able to play against Illinois (2-4, 1-2 Big Ten).
"I was out there today," Mertz said after practice. "I´ll just go with it day by day."
Mertz was taken to the hospital for evaluation after his 傷害 and got 解放（する）d later Saturday. Wisconsin coach Paul Chryst said all the 実験（する） results were encouraging.
"I feel all 権利," Mertz said. "I´m just 肉親，親類d of taking it day by day, getting 治療 and trying to get better every day."
Tight end Jake Ferguson also is considered 疑わしい for this week after leaving the Michigan game 早期に 予定 to a chest 傷害.

Wisconsin (1-3, 0-2) is trying to 回復する from its worst start since 1990 as the Badgers 準備する to 直面する one of their former 長，率いる coaches for the first time in program history. Illinois coach Bret Bielema coached Wisconsin from 2006-12 before leaving for Arkansas.
The 1990 team also started 1-3 and went on to finish 1-10.
