UK's Truss 減少(する)s 税金 削減(する)s, axes 財務省 長,指導者 まっただ中に 騒動

LONDON (AP) - 戦闘の準備を整えた British 総理大臣 Liz Truss 解雇(する)d her 財務省 長,指導者 and 逆転するd course on a major part of her 税金-cutting 経済的な 計画(する) Friday as she struggled to hang on to her 職業 after weeks of 騒動 on 財政上の markets. But the market 返答 was muted and the political reaction to what many saw as panicked moves left Truss' 信用性 in tatters after only six weeks in office.

At a あわてて arranged news 会議/協議会, Truss said she was 事実上の/代理 to "安心させる the markets of our 会計の discipline" by 溝へはまらせる/不時着するing her 誓約(する) to 捨てる a planned 増加する in 会社/団体 税金. Earlier, she 解雇する/砲火/射撃d her の近くに friend Kwasi Kwarteng as 長,率いる of the 財務省 and 取って代わるd him with Jeremy 追跡(する), a long-time 国会議員 who has served three previous stints as a 閣僚 大臣.

Truss is trying to 回復する 信用/信任 and 再構築する her 信用性 with international 投資家s and members of her own party after the "小型の-予算" she and Kwarteng 明かすd three weeks ago 誘発するd political and 経済的な 騒動.

The 政府´s Sept. 23 告示 that it planned to 削減(する) 税金s by 45 billion 続けざまに猛撃するs ($50 billion) without 詳細(に述べる)ing how it would 支払う/賃金 for them or 申し込む/申し出ing 独立した・無所属 分析 about the 衝撃 on public 財政/金融s raised 関心s that 政府 borrowing could rise to unsustainable levels.

That sent the 続けざまに猛撃する 急落(する),激減(する)ing to a 記録,記録的な/記録する low against the dollar and 軍隊d the Bank of England to step in to 妨げる a wider 経済的な 危機.

Truss has now 取り消すd about 20 billion 続けざまに猛撃するs of the 初めは planned 税金 削減(する)s.

But her 簡潔な/要約する, downbeat news 会議/協議会 is ありそうもない to have 安心させるd Truss´ 保守的な Party that she is in 支配(する)/統制する.

"I think she´s just 確認するd that she´s not the 権利 person for the 職業," said Tim Bale, professor of politics at Queen Mary University of London. "I don´t think it communicated the 肉親,親類d of 信用/信任 the country needs 権利 now."

にもかかわらず backtracking on a major part of her program, Truss clung to the idea that her 政策s were what the country needs to 刺激(する) 経済成長. She also 避けるd repeated questions about why she should remain in office when she and Kwarteng were 平等に 責任がある the 政府´s 経済的な 計画(する) and the fallout it 誘発する/引き起こすd.

"I am 絶対 決定するd to see th rough what I have 約束d," Truss said.

The 初期の 返答 from 投資家s 示唆するd Truss´ moves may not be enough to 静める 財政上の markets.

産する/生じるs on 10-year 政府 社債s rose すぐに after her news 会議/協議会, 示すing 投資家s are still 関心d about 政府 負債. The 続けざまに猛撃する fell 1.2% against the U.S. dollar.

The next big 実験(する) for Truss will come Monday when 貿易(する)ing 再開するs on 財政上の markets. The Bank of England on Friday ended its 緊急 介入 to 安定させる long-称する,呼ぶ/期間/用語 社債 prices and 保護する 年金s 基金s.

"Whether or not she remains 首相, her whole 協議事項 now, her ability to 追求する her political 事業/計画(する), if you like, is really out of her 手渡すs," said Jill Rutter, a 上級の fellow at the 学校/設ける for 政府, a London-based think 戦車/タンク.

"Her 運命/宿命 is now in the 手渡すs of the markets."

Truss is also 直面するing 圧力 from across the political spectrum.

The 対立 自由主義の 民主党員s called for an 緊急 週末 開会/開廷/会期 of the House of ありふれたs for 追跡(する) to 供給する more 詳細(に述べる) on the 政府´s 経済的な 計画(する). Scotland´s first 大臣, Nicola Sturgeon called for an 早期に 総選挙. And the BBC 報告(する)/憶測d that a group of 上級の 保守的な 国会議員s are planning to call for Truss´ 辞職 next week.

Truss´ 未来 is in 疑問 いっそう少なく than six weeks after she took office 約束ing to re-energize the British economy and put the nation on a path to "long-称する,呼ぶ/期間/用語 success."

A small-明言する/公表する, low-税金 保守的な who patterns herself after 1980s 総理大臣 Margaret Thatcher, Truss argued that cutting 税金s, 減ずるing red tape and 法廷,裁判所ing 投資 would 刺激(する) 経済成長 and 生成する more 歳入 to 支払う/賃金 for public services.

But the Sept. 23 税金 削減(する) 計画(する) only 供給するd half of the equation. Without an 独立した・無所属 分析 of her 十分な 経済的な program, the 追加するd growth it will produce and the 付加 税金 歳入 likely to be created, she was asking 投資家s and 投票者s to 信用 that the sums would in the end 追加する up.

Truss said Friday that 追跡(する) would 明かす the 十分な 経済的な 計画(する) on Oct. 31, along with 分析 from the 独立した・無所属 Office for 予算 責任/義務.

James Athey, 投資 director at the 基金 経営者/支配人 abrdn, 述べるd Truss´ move as a "U-turn on its 決定/判定勝ち(する) not to U-turn on its profligate 税金-cutting 政策s.´´ And, Britain still 直面するs myriad problems, he said.

"インフレーション is at multi-10年間 highs, 政府 borrowing is 抱擁する, as is the 経常収支 赤字. The 住宅 market is likely to 苦しむ a 大打撃を与える blow from the jump in mortgage 率s and the war in ウクライナ共和国 rumbles on," he said.

"We may 井戸/弁護士席 be through the worst of the volatility, but I 恐れる that the U.K. is nowhere 近づく out of the 支持を得ようと努めるd."

保守的な 国会議員s are agonizing over whether to try to 追い出す their second leader this year. Truss was elected last month to 取って代わる Boris Johnson, who was 軍隊d out in July.

The weeks of 財政上の 騒動 has helped the 対立 労働 Party take a 命令(する)ing lead in opinion 投票s. A 国家の 選挙 does not have to be held until 2024, but many 保守的なs 恐れる the party is running out of time to の近くに the gap.

Fractious 保守的な 国会議員s are 緊急発進するing to find a まとまり 候補者 who could 取って代わる Truss, with 憶測 中心ing on 追跡(する) and two of the 競争相手s who lost to Truss in the summer leadership contest: Rishi Sunak and Penny Mordaunt.
