Ex-国会議員 who served time for Jan. 6 暴動 捜し出すs House seat
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Two years to the day after 嵐／襲撃するing the U.S. （ワシントンの）連邦議会議事堂, a former West Virginia 明言する／公表する 国会議員 who served 刑務所，拘置所 time for his 役割 in the 暴動 said Friday that he hopes to return to the scene of his 罪，犯罪 as an elected 公式の／役人.
Derrick Evans, who livestreamed himself on Facebook 元気づける on what he 述べるd as a "革命" at the （ワシントンの）連邦議会議事堂 on Jan. 6, 2021, 発表するd he will run for a U.S. House seat in 2024.

"I chose today to 発表する my 企て，努力，提案 for the 衆議院 because it is an important 周年記念日 in US history," Evans said in a 声明. "While my 指名する will indelibly be part of it, we should also use (it) as a chance to remind ourselves about why 僕主主義 is so important and how easily it can be 脅すd."
The 告示 struck a markedly different トン from the 悔恨 he 表明するd as he stood before a 連邦の 裁判官 at his 宣告，判決ing in June.
Evans, 37, pleaded 有罪の to a 重罪 civil disorder 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金 and served a three-month 宣告，判決 for 参加するing in the 暴動. At his 宣告，判決ing, Evans told the 裁判官 he regretted his 活動／戦闘s every day and is a "good person who unfortunately was caught up in a moment."

"I will forever 耐える the 思い出の品 that I made a 決定的な mistake," Evans said. "I´ve let 負かす／撃墜する mysel f, I´ve let 負かす／撃墜する my community and, most importantly, I´ve let 負かす／撃墜する my family."

Although Evans has gone from （ワシントンの）連邦議会議事堂 暴徒 to 連邦の 候補者, "I don´t 推定する／予想する him to be the last," Rahmani said.
