Guatemala ups 迫害 of those who 追求するd the corrupt
GUATEMALA CITY (AP) - The Guatemalan 政府´s 成果／努力 to undo more than a １０年間 of 国際連合-支援するd anti-汚職 work moved even beyond its 国境s this week, in what 専門家s say is an 選挙 year 試みる／企てる to 保証する 保守的な 投票者s its like won´t be seen again.
Guatemalan 検察官，検事s 発表するd their 意向 to 追求する 合法的な 活動／戦闘 against Colombian Iv?n Vel?squez, who led the U.N.´s anti-汚職 使節団 in Guatemala. Vel?squez, who is now Colombia´s 弁護 大臣, and 検察官，検事s the U.N. helped train dealt blow after blow to Guatemalan 汚職 over 12 years until the 政府 辞退するd to 新たにする their 委任統治（領） in 2019.
Since then, the 行政 of 大統領 Alejandro Giammattei has been （刑事）被告 by civil society organizations and foreign 政府s of systemically 追求するing those who worked with the U.N. 使節団, best known by its Spanish 初期の CICIG.
Some 30 裁判官s, 治安判事s and 検察官，検事s 伴う／関わるd in the 調査 or 過程ing of those 汚職 事例／患者s have been 軍隊d to 逃げる the country after 直面するing 合法的な 活動／戦闘 from the 現在の 行政.
Giammattei is not 適格の for re-選挙 in June, but his Vamos party will put 今後 a 国家の 国会議員 as its 候補者. The 選挙 約束s to be a 解放する／自由な-for-all with some 30 parties 参加するing. No Guatemalan party has ever been re-elected to the 大統領／総裁などの地位 for 連続した 条件.
"This fits with an 選挙（人）の 目的. Perhaps the CICIG's greatest 業績／成就 was the 調査 and 起訴 of 大統領 Otto P?rez Molina, who was 軍隊d to 辞職する along with his 閣僚 in 2015.

Colombian 大統領 Gustavo Petro defended Vel?squez, 説 the corrupt are now 追求するing him even years after he left Guatemala.
