Murphy says New Jersey will 拡大する AP 黒人／ボイコット history classes
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy said Tuesday that his 行政 is 拡大するing 前進するd Placement African American 熟考する／考慮するs courses next year from one school to 26 in New Jersey after 共和国の／共和党の Gov. Ron DeSantis 封鎖するd the course from 存在 taught in public schools in Florida.
Murphy's move comes about a month after the 行政 of DeSantis, a 可能性のある 大統領の 候補者, 宣言するd without 特記する／引用するing any 証拠 that the course 侵害する／違反するs 明言する／公表する 法律 and isn't 歴史的に 正確な.

Florida's move stirred a 審議 over the courses.
DeSantis said the course 捜し出すs to 押し進める an 協議事項 and 侵害する／違反するs the Stop WOKE 行為／法令／行動する he 調印するd last year, which 禁じるs 指示／教授／教育 that defines people as やむを得ず 抑圧するd or 特権d based on their race.
Critics say DeSantis is sending a message that 黒人／ボイコット history doesn't count in Florida.
The College Board, which 治めるs the 前進するd Placement program, 解放（する）d course curriculum 詳細（に述べる）s this month, which show that topics 含むing 黒人／ボイコット Lives 事柄, slavery 賠償s and queer life are not part of the course's exam, but are still 含むd as 可能性のある 研究 topics, along with "黒人／ボイコット 保守主義." Newark Schools Superintendent Roger Leon embraced the 拡大. Six schools in his 地区 will teach the course in the 2023-2024 school year.
"The 熟考する／考慮する of African American History, as a discrete field, is important to 伸び（る）ing a deeper, fuller understanding of 部隊d 明言する／公表するs History," Leon said.
New Jersey's statewide learning 基準s already 要求するd some 多様制 education in lessons, 必要物／必要条件s that were 拡大するd in 2021 under a 明言する／公表する 法律 要求するing 地区s to 会社にする／組み込む 指示／教授／教育 on 多様制 and 傾向.
Murphy also 的d DeSantis during his January 明言する／公表する of the 明言する／公表する 演説（する）／住所, 非難するing his comments that Florida is where "woke goes to die."
As for Murphy's own 大統領の ambitions, he has said he'll 支援する 大統領 Joe Biden if he runs for reelection, leaving open the 可能性 he could consider running if not.
