WASHINGTON (AP) - The 弁護 Department should 器具／実施する a 一連の gun safety 対策 to 減ずる 自殺s in the 軍隊, an 独立した・無所属 委員会 recommended Friday, calling for waiting periods for the 購入（する） of 小火器 and 弾薬／武器 by service members on 軍の 所有物／資産／財産.

確認するing findings in 年次の 自殺 報告（する）／憶測s, the パネル盤 公式文書，認めるd that about 66% of all active-義務 軍の 自殺s -- and more than 70% of those by 国家の Guard and Reserve members - are done with 小火器. It said 減ずるing 接近 to guns could 妨げる some deaths.

"My sense is that so many of us who have served have lost friends to 自殺. And so many of those 自殺s 伴う／関わる 小火器, that we 認める that there is a 関係 between the two," said Bryan. "Many of us are tired of our friends and loved ones dying and we 認める that we have to 絶対 take on this 問題／発行する."
He said the choice of age 25 was driven by historical patterns and data, which showed that half of all 軍の 自殺s happened between the ages of 21 and 25, and that the use of guns for 自殺s by service members - 特に men - 増加するd after the age of 21.
