German department 蓄える／店 chain to shut 40% of its 出口s
BERLIN (AP) - Germany's last major department 蓄える／店 chain 発表するd Monday that it 計画（する）s to の近くに two-fifths of its 支店s, months after it とじ込み／提出するd for insolvency 保護 for the second time in いっそう少なく than three years.
The long-troubled Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof 計画（する）s to shut 52 of its 現在の 129 蓄える／店s in two 段階s, with the first の近くにing 負かす／撃墜する at the end of June and the 残り／休憩（する） at the end of January.
It said that about 4,000 従業員s at those 蓄える／店s will be 影響する／感情d, and that another 300 職業s will go at its （警察，軍隊などの）本部 in Essen and in other areas such as IT and 施設 管理／経営.
The company said that, because of 経済的な circumstances and "地元の 条件s," and after "集中的な 交渉s" with landlords and city 当局, there was no 肯定的な 見通し for the 蓄える／店s that are to be axed.
The remaining 77 蓄える／店s will be modernized over the next three years with 範囲s that are more tailored to 地元の needs, with 11,000 職業s 存在 保護（する）／緊急輸入制限d, Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof said in a 声明.
The company, which resulted from the 合併 a few years ago of 競争相手s Karstadt and Kaufhof, sought 保護 from creditors in late October, 特記する／引用するing a 法外な rise in energy prices, high インフレーション and weak 消費者 spending.

It had already shut around 40 蓄える／店s and 削減（する） some 4,000 職業s after 捜し出すing 保護 during the first lockdown of the coronavirus pandemic in April 2020, and 報道によれば was 認めるd 680 million euros ($724 million) in 明言する／公表する 援助（する）.
