Takeaways from AP's interview with ウクライナ共和国's Zelenskyy
ON BOARD A TRAIN FROM SUMY TO KYIV, ウクライナ共和国 (AP) - A team of 新聞記者／雑誌記者s from The Associated 圧力（をかける） spent two days traveling by train with Ukrainian 大統領 Volodymyr Zelenskyy as he visited the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia, which still 直面するs 正規の／正選手 爆撃する from ロシアの 軍隊s, and northern towns in the Sumy 地域 that were 解放するd すぐに after the war began a year ago.
Zelenskyy rarely travels with 新聞記者／雑誌記者s, and the 大統領，／社長´s office said AP´s two-night train trip with him was the most 広範囲にわたる since the war began. Here are some takeaways from an interview with Zelenskyy as he returned to Kyiv late Tuesday.
WESTERN WEAPONS
Throughout much of the war, ウクライナ共和国's 軍の has been 支えるd by billions of dollars of 弾薬／武器 and 兵器 from Western nations. Zelenskyy welcomed the help but said some of the 約束d 武器s had not yet been 配達するd.
"We have 広大な／多数の／重要な 決定／判定勝ち（する）s about 愛国者s, but we don´t have them for real," he said, referring to the U.S.-made 空気／公表する 弁護 system.
Ukrainian 兵士s have received training in the U.S. since January on how to use the 愛国者 system, but it hasn´t yet been （軍隊を）展開する，配備するd in ウクライナ共和国.

ウクライナ共和国 needs 20 愛国者 殴打／砲列s to 保護する against ロシアの ミサイルs, and even that may not be enough "as no country in the world was attacked with so many 弾道学の ロケット／急騰するs," Zelenskyy said.
Zelenskyy 追加するd that a European nation sent another 空気／公表する 弁護 system to ウクライナ共和国, but it didn´t work and they "had to change it again and again." He did not 指名する the country.
Zelenskyy also 繰り返し言うd his 長年の request for 闘士，戦闘機 jets, 説 "we still don't have anything when it comes to modern 軍用機s." Poland and Slovakia have decid ed to give Soviet-時代 闘士，戦闘機 jets to ウクライナ共和国, but no Western country so far has agreed to 供給する modern 軍用機s まっただ中に 関心 that it could 増大する the 衝突 and draw them in deeper.
PUTIN'S ISOLATION
Zelenskyy was unsparing in his 査定／評価 of Russia's Vladimir Putin, calling him an "informationally 孤立するd person" who had "lost everything" over the last year of war.
"He doesn't have 同盟（する）s," Zelenskyy said, 追加するing that it was （疑いを）晴らす that even 中国 - an 経済的な powerhouse long 都合のよい toward Moscow - was no longer willing to 支援する Russia. Chinese 大統領 Xi Jinping recently visited Putin i n Russia but left without 公然と 発表するing any overt support for Moscow's （選挙などの）運動をする against ウクライナ共和国.
Zelenskyy 示唆するd that Putin's 告示 すぐに after Xi's visit that he would move 戦術の 核の 武器s to Belarus, closer to 北大西洋条約機構 領土, was meant to deflect from the fact that the Chinese leader's visit did not go 井戸／弁護士席. Putin said the move was a 反対する to Britain's 決定／判定勝ち（する） to 供給する more 使い果たすd ウラン 弾薬／武器 to ウクライナ共和国.

"If a person wants to save himself, he really ... will use these," he said. "I'm not sure he's ready to do it."
AVOIDING A NUC LEAR DISASTER
On Zelenskyy's 旅程 this week was a 会合 with Rafael Mariano Grossi, the visiting 長，率いる of the UN´s 原子の energy 機関. Grossi was in the 地域 to take 在庫／株 of the 状況／情勢 at the nearby Zaporizhzhia 核の 力／強力にする 工場／植物, which Russia took 支配（する）／統制する of last year.
猛烈な／残忍な fighting around the 工場／植物, Europe´s largest, has put the 施設 and the broader 地域 at 重要な 危険. During his 会合 with Zelenskyy on Monday, Grossi said the 状況／情勢 was not 改善するing.
Grossi has called for a "保護 zone" around the 工場／植物 but has failed to come up with 条件 that would 満足させる both ウクライナ共和国 and Russia. Grossi told the AP on Tuesday he believed a 取引，協定 was "の近くに." However, Zelenskyy, who …に反対するs any 計画（する） that would 合法と認める Russia´s 支配（する）／統制する over the 施設, said he was いっそう少なく 楽観的な a 取引，協定 was 近づく. "I don´t feel it today," he said.
THE FIGHT FOR BAKHMUT
The longest 戦う／戦い of the war is 激怒（する）ing in the eastern city of Bakhmut, where Ukrainian and ロシアの 軍隊s have been locked in a grinding 衝突 for seven months.
Some Western 軍の 分析家s have questioned why ウクライナ共和国 is willing to 苦しむ so many losses to defend the 領土, arguing that the city is not of 戦略の significance. Zelenskyy argued さもなければ, 説 any loss in the war will give Russia an 開始. He 予報するd that if Russia 敗北・負かすs ウクライナ共和国 in Bakhmut, Putin would 始める，決める out to "sell" a victory to the international community.

CALLS FOR TOUGHER SANCTIONS

RIDING THE RAILS
Most of Zelenskyy's travel in ウクライナ共和国 is done by rail. There are few other 選択s: 商業の 空気／公表する travel has been grounded and ウクライナ共和国's expanse, 同様に as the 予測できなく of life in a war-torn country, make road travel arduous.
