共和国の／共和党の Virginia 司法長官 Miyares defends staying out of abortion pill 事例／患者
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia 司法長官 Jason Miyares has defended his 決定／判定勝ち（する） not to join most of his 共和国の／共和党の 相当するものs around the country in supporting a 訴訟 challenging the safety and 是認 of the abortion 医薬 mifepristone.
In a wide-範囲ing interview Tuesday with The Associated 圧力（をかける）, Miyares said he 選ぶd not to 調印する の上に the amicus 簡潔な／要約する by 22 other 共和国の／共和党の 弁護士／代理人／検事s general earlier this year because he had 関心s about whether the 原告／提訴人s in the 事例／患者 had standing to 告訴する.
In 返答 to a follow-up question from AP, Miyares said in a 声明 that he 認めるs that the Food and 麻薬 行政 規制するs the 麻薬 and "has for many years."
"Those 規則s remain operative," he said. "I´ve taken no 活動／戦闘 regarding mifepristone."
Although Miyares said he 推定する／予想するs the 麻薬 will remain 利用できる, he also 是認するd GOP Gov. Glenn Youngkin's ambition to 制限する 接近 to abortion 手続きs in Virginia at 15 weeks of pregnancy.
Virginia, which has some of the South's most permissive abortion 法律s, 現在／一般に 許すs the 手続き in the first and second trimesters. An abortion is 許すd in the third trimester only if three 内科医s certify that the mother´s mental or physical health is at serious 危険.

Youngkin 支援するd failed 成果／努力s earlier this year in the 政治上 divided General 議会 to 制定する a 15-week 禁止（する） with exceptions for 強姦, incest and the life of the mother, something the 知事 繰り返し言うd his support for in 発言／述べるs with reporters Monday.
"I agree with the 知事," Miyares said. "I think 特に in ... a swing 明言する／公表する like Virginia, that it´s important to try to find 合意. I think that's what the 知事 is trying to do."
Earlier this week, abortion providers in Virginia, Montana and Kansas とじ込み／提出するd a 訴訟 目的（とする）d at 保存するing 接近 to mifepristone.
Miyares 特記する／引用するd 投票ing in arguing that most Virginians don't want abortion banned during the earliest weeks of a pregnancy, nor do they support late-称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語 abortions.
"The mainstream Democratic Party´s position 権利 now is: anytime, anywhere up until the moment of birth after the gender 明らかにする／漏らす, paid for by taxpayers," he said. "Most Virg inians don´t support that, either."

During the interview, Miyares 拒絶する／低下するd to say whether he's considering a run but said he's "always flattered" when he's asked the question.
