3.3 billion people live in countries that spend more on 負債 利益/興味 than education, UN says

UNITED NATIONS (AP) - Some 3.3 billion people - almost half of humanity - now live in countries that spend more money 支払う/賃金ing 利益/興味 on their 負債s than on education or health, によれば a new U.N. 報告(する)/憶測 解放(する)d Wednesday.

The 長官-general said a growing 株 of 負債 is held by 私的な creditors who 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金 sky-高金利s to 発展途上国s. As an example, he 特記する/引用するd African countries that on 普通の/平均(する) 支払う/賃金 four times more for borrowing than the 部隊d 明言する/公表するs and eight times more than the wealthiest European countries.

The 負債 危機 is leaving 政府s with no money to 投資する in lagging U.N. 開発 goals for 2030 that 含む ending extreme poverty; 確実にするing that every child has a good-質 最初の/主要な and 第2位 school education, and to 投資する in 移行ing to renewable energy, he said.

The 報告(する)/憶測 says public 負債 has reached "colossal levels" 大部分は 予定 to two factors: First, countries´ 財政上の needs 急に上がる ed as they tried to fend off the 衝撃 of cascading crises 含むing the COVID-19 pandemic, the rising cost of living and 気候 change, and second, the 全世界の 財政上の architecture "makes 発展途上国s´ 接近 to 財政/金融ing 不十分な and expensive."
