What to know about the harrowing ウクライナ共和国 war doc '20 Days in Mariupol'
NEW YORK (AP) - Theatergoers in select cities will soon be able to watch "20 Days in Mariupol," the visceral 文書の on Russia's 早期に 強襲，強姦 on the Ukrainian city.
The 94-minute film is a 共同の 生産／産物 by The Associated 圧力（をかける） and PBS "Frontline" and has been met with 批判的な acclaim and an audience award at the Sundance Film Festival. AP 新聞記者／雑誌記者 Mstyslav Chernov directed the movie from 30 hours of （映画の）フィート数 he and other AP 新聞記者／雑誌記者s 発射 in Mariupol in the 開始 days of the war.
Chernov and AP 同僚s Evgeniy Maloletka, a photographer, and 生産者 Vasilisa Stepanenko were the last international 新聞記者／雑誌記者s in the city before escaping.
"I thought I should do something more. I should do something more with that 30 hours of （映画の）フィート数 to tell a bigger story and more 状況 to show the audience of the 規模," Chernov has said.

Next week the film will have showings in Chicago, Boston, Santa Monica, California, and the Bay Area. It will play in Sarasota, Florida, on July 28.
The 文書の will 空気／公表する later this year on PBS' "Frontline."
It is an 激しい account of the war's 早期に days in Mariupol. Death abounds. Chernov, Maloletka and Stepanenko 文書d fighting in the streets, the 鎮圧するing 緊張する on Mariupol's 包囲するd 居住（者）s and attacks that left 妊娠している women, children and others dead.

For months after leaving Mariupol, the AP team continued to 文書 the 衝突 in Mariupol, 含むing a 詳細（に述べる）d 調査 into a ロシアの attack on a theater that killed an 概算の 600 非軍事のs and Russia's 成果／努力s to scrub the city's 身元 after taking 支配（する）／統制する of it.
