Deadly flooding 攻撃する,衝突する several countries at once. Scientists say this will only be more ありふれた

Extreme 降雨 …を伴ってd by deadly flooding 攻撃する,衝突する the 部隊d 明言する/公表するs and several other countries over the 週末 and last week.

There were several dozen fatalities in central and southern 地域s of South Korea, 含むing the Chongju 地域 where an underpass flooded and 溺死するd 運転者s who became 罠にかける in their 潜水するd 乗り物s.

In the U.S., flooding (人命などを)奪う,主張するd five lives in Upper Makefield 郡区, Pennsylvania, where a search is 現在進行中の for two 行方不明の children. Flooding also struck parts of New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey this past 週末. A 明言する/公表する of 緊急 was 宣言するd in New Jersey by Gov. Phil Murphy に引き続いて 重要な 損失 from flooding and 地滑りs.

This follows last week´s relentless flooding in India, Japan, 中国, Turkey and the U.S.

Although the destructive floods are occurring in different parts of the world, atmospheric scientists say they have this in ありふれた: With 気候 change, 嵐/襲撃するs are forming in a warmer atmosphere, making extreme 降雨 a more たびたび(訪れる) reality now. The 付加 warming that scientists 予報する is coming will only make it worse.

That's because a warmer atmosphere 持つ/拘留するs more moisture, which results in 嵐/襲撃するs ダンピング more precipitation that can have deadly 結果s. 汚染物s, 特に 炭酸ガス and methane, are heating up the atmosphere. Instead of 許すing heat to radiate away from Earth into space, they 持つ/拘留する の上に it.

While 気候 change is not the 原因(となる) of 嵐/襲撃するs 抑えるのをやめるing the 降雨, these 嵐/襲撃するs are forming in an atmosphere that is becoming warmer and wetter.

"Sixty-eight degrees Fahrenheit can 持つ/拘留する twice as much water as 50 degrees Fahrenheit," said Rodney Wynn, a 気象学者 at the 国家の 天候 Service in Tampa Bay. "Warm 空気/公表する 拡大するs and 冷静な/正味の 空気/公表する 契約s. You can think of it as a balloon - when it´s heated the 容積/容量 is going to get larger, so therefore it can 持つ/拘留する more moisture."

For every 1 degree Celsius (1.8 degrees Fahrenheit) that the atmosphere warms, it 持つ/拘留するs だいたい 7% more moisture. によれば 航空宇宙局, the 普通の/平均(する) 全世界の 気温 has 増加するd by at least 1.1 degrees Celsius (1.9 degrees Fahrenheit) since 1880.

"When a 雷雨 develops, water vapor gets condensed into rain droplets and 落ちるs 支援する 負かす/撃墜する to the surface. So as these 嵐/襲撃するs form in warmer 環境s that have more moisture in them, the 降雨 増加するs," explained Brian Soden, professor of atmospheric sciences at the University of Miami.

Along Turkey´s 山地の and scenic 黒人/ボイコット Sea coast, 強い雨s swelled rivers and 損失d cities with flooding and 地滑りs.

At least 15 people were killed by flooding in another 山地の 地域, in southwestern 中国.

"As the 気候 gets warmer we 推定する/予想する 激しい rain events to become more ありふれた, it´s a very 強健な 予測 of 気候 models," Soden 追加するd. "It´s not surprising to see these events happening, it´s what models have been 予報するing ever since day one."

Gavin Schmidt, climatologist and director of the 航空宇宙局 Goddard 学校/設ける for Space 熟考する/考慮するs, said the 地域s 存在 攻撃する,衝突する hardest by 気候 change are not the ones that 放出する the largest 量 of 惑星-warming 汚染物s.

"The 本体,大部分/ばら積みの of the 放出/発行s have come from the 産業の Western nations and the 本体,大部分/ばら積みの of the 衝撃s are happening in places that don´t have good 組織/基盤/下部構造, that are いっそう少なく 用意が出来ている for 天候 extremes and have no real ways to manage this," said Schmidt.

In last week's flooding, schools in New Delhi were 軍隊d to の近くに on July 10 after 激しい 季節風 rains 乱打するd the Indian 資本/首都, with 地滑りs and flash floods 殺人,大当り at least 15 people. さらに先に north, the 洪水ing Beas River swept 乗り物s 石油精製 as it flooded 近隣s.

In Japan, 豪雨 続けざまに猛撃するd the 南西, 原因(となる)ing floods and mudslides that left two people dead and at least six others 行方不明の. 地元の TV showed 損失d houses in Fukuoka 県 and muddy water from the swollen Yamakuni River appearing to 脅す a 橋(渡しをする) in the town of Yabakei.

In Ulster 郡, in New York´s Hudson Valley and in Vermont, some said the flooding is the worst they´ve seen since ハリケーン Irene´s 荒廃 in 2011.
