Scott Hoying of Pentatonix celebrates love, goes 単独の with seven-跡をつける debut `平行の´
During a two-month break in the a cappella group Pentatonix ´s world 小旅行する, baritone Scott Hoying became a newlywed. He also went out on his own, with his most personal music to date.
The 31-year-old Grammy 勝利者 sings from the heart about 落ちるing in love and losing his best four-legged friend in his seven-跡をつける 単独の debut "平行の," which is out Friday.
Other members of Pentatonix have 解放（する）d 単独の albums before, and going at it alone is something Hoying has thought about for many years, but with much hesitation. Still, the 過程 of finally doing it has been 治療力のある. It's given Hoying an 適切な時期 to 防備を堅める／強化する his creativity and build 信用／信任.
"I have always been a little bit 脅すd to be 攻撃を受けやすい and 肉親，親類d of put myself out there as a 単独の 行為／法令／行動する," Hoying told The Associated 圧力（をかける）. "And I feel like this タイミング is just so perfect because I´m entering this very beautiful 時代 of my life, like producing and making music and 存在 more 動機づけるd than ever. And then I´m in love ... and I´ve just had a lot of personal growth over the past couple of years.
"It´s just like this really big new 一時期／支部 that´s starting. And it feels kismet and amazing."
The COVID-19 pandemic was an underlying 推論する／理由 for the 事業／計画（する）. Because Pentatonix couldn´t 記録，記録的な／記録する together 予定 to social distancing, the five-member a cappella group laid 負かす／撃墜する 跡をつけるs 分かれて, having learned how to use 数字表示式の 音声部の 科学（工学）技術. Once Hoying became comfortable with the 過程, he was captivated by it. He 絶えず watched tutorials on YouTube and it led to a flurry of personal songwriting.

The pandemic 過程 "was 最高の energizing and 奮起させるing, and I ended up 令状ing hundreds of songs," Hoying said.
Produced by Jon Levine, four of the seven songs are about love, 含むing the 肩書を与える 跡をつける "平行の," which was 解放（する）d as a 選び出す／独身 in June.
"平行の" is about Hoying's 関係 with his husband, 示す, their 株d 質s and 存在 in sync with one another. It 解任するs a time when the couple was supposed to …に出席する an event but ended up laying 味方する by 味方する on the 床に打ち倒す of the kitchen talking long into the night. Hoying directed the song´s ビデオ, filmed in アイスランド after Pentatonix had 成し遂げるd the last show on its European 小旅行する there in June.
示す Hoying appears in t he ビデオs for "平行の" and "火星," a 選び出す／独身 解放（する）d last September.
Scott Hoying also 支払う／賃金s 尊敬の印 to his dog that passed away in "Bubs." There´s also "King Kong," about personal growth and finding 信用／信任, and "信用 落ちる," which "is about 飛び込み into the scary, unknown parts of life. It´s only scary because we don´t know what´s to come, but exciting. More like a nervous バタフライ," he said.
And just like that, Hoying will be 支援する on 小旅行する with Pentatonix when it starts a North American 脚 of their 小旅行する in August.
The group has been together since 2011. It began with Hoying, tenor Mitch Grassi and mezzo-soprano Kirstin Maldonado as high school classmates in Arlington, Texas. They 追加するd bass Avi Kaplan and beatboxer Kevin Olusola 事前の to competing - and winning - on the television 競争 program, "The Sing-Off." Kaplan left Pentatonix in 2017 and was 取って代わるd that year by Matt Sallee.
The group's 人気 is as strong as ever. Pentatonix sang the 国家の 国家 at college football´s 国家の 選手権 game in January and was 栄誉（を受ける）d with a 星／主役にする on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in February.
"I think with any genre of music, if it´s bringing emotion and bringing joy to people, it´s going to stick around," Hoying said. "And so, I think that if we keep 押し進めるing the 限界s of a cappella, and if we keep doing 利益／興味ing things that makes people feel, I think that we can do i t for a long time."
Hoying and Grassi formed the group "Superfruit" several years ago for a comedy YouTube channel. The pair produced a couple of albums, 含むing the popular 上昇傾向 song "GUY.EXE."
Hoying 現在／一般に is working with others to develop "The Life of Death," a musical about the Grim Reaper and his daughter. Hoying says is 権利 up his creative alley.
"It´s so fun 令状ing a musical because there´s no real 支配するs," he said. "My wild brain just has a field day."
