Reddick rides a 急速な/放蕩な car and good fortune into the second 一連の会議、交渉/完成する of the NASCAR Cup Series プレーオフs

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) - Tyler Reddick knows you need to have 速度(を上げる) to 勝利,勝つ a NASCAR Cup Series 選手権. Denny Hamlin knows just 同様に that you need to have breaks go your way.

Reddick had both going for him Sunday at Kansas Speedway, taking advantage of a late 警告を与える and four fresh tires to 微風 by six other drivers in the final two (競技場の)トラック一周s for the 勝利,勝つ. It 確実にするd that Reddick would be in the 一連の会議、交渉/完成する of 12 of the プレーオフs for the first time, taking almost all the 圧力 off the No. 45 team 長,率いるing to next week's cutoff race at Bristol.

"We have enough 速度(を上げる), we should be able to make it through this first 一連の会議、交渉/完成する, and winning certainly helps," Reddick said. "Going into the 一連の会議、交渉/完成する of 12, we can 選ぶ up just a little, and then as we go we can keep amping it up."

Hamlin, on the other 手渡す, had a bit of bad luck Sunday. Bubba Wallace and ツバメ Truex Jr. had a whole lot of it.

Reddick had a terrific 再開する, fooling everyone by 狙撃 past them on the 底(に届く) rather than the 最高の,を越す, where he is known for running. And by the time Hamlin realized his mistake, Reddick was far enough ahead that he couldn't catch up.

"It stinks. It certainly flipped the results from first to second," Hamlin said. "But that's part of racing, 権利? Our sport is different than others. It's a sport of chance at times, and luck does play a factor, and we were unlucky to get that 警告を与える.

Would have been even better had 23XI's other car, with Bubba Wallace, not had the same 権利 後部 tire problem. Just like the 後部 tire of Truex, the 正規の/正選手-season 支持する/優勝者, only his (機の)カム three (競技場の)トラック一周s into the race. It sent him into the 塀で囲む with 激しい enough 損失 that he was done for the day, and he went from 25 points above the 削減(する) line to seven points below it.

"Just unfortunate and very unlucky," Truex said. "I took off really tight and I knew something was up, and then 削減(する) a 権利 後部. Not really sure what happened, 明白に, but it blew in the worst place possible. I hate it for my guys. We were going to have a 広大な/多数の/重要な day. Just not where what we need to do to get some luck here."

Indeed, Truex was 急速な/放蕩な. So were Hamlin and Wallace.
