SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Kyle McCord spent two years trying to get on the field at Ohio 明言する／公表する and three 付加 weeks trying to 証明する he could lead the Buckeyes.
The first-year starting quarterback and the Buckeyes answered their doubters Saturday night - with help from a Notre Dame 弁護 failed to go to 11 on the deciding play.
McCord 変えるd play after play on the final 運動, capped with a perfectly 遂行する／発効させるd 1-yard 得点する／非難する／２０ing 急落（する），激減（する） by 半導体素子 Trayanum with 1 second left to give No. 6 Ohio 明言する／公表する a 17-14 victory over No. 9 Notre Dame on Saturday night.

What McCord didn't realize was that Notre Dame (4-1) only had 10 players on the field for the final two plays from the Irish 1-yard line - an incompletion in the end zone to Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trayanum's 決定的な run that sent Buckeyes players streaming の上に the field in 祝賀 only to be sent 支援する to the sideline for a replay review that put a second 支援する on the clock.

"We were trying to get a fourth 防御の lineman in the game," Irish coach Marcus Freeman said. "I told him `Just stay off, we can´t afford a 刑罰，罰則.´ I didn´t have any timeouts left."

McCord was 21 of 37 with 240 yards but saved his best for last - a gritty 65-yard 運動 in the final 85 seconds, looking unfazed even when it appeared the Buckeyes unbeaten season might be over.
Notre Dame took the lead when Sam Hartman threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Rico Flores Jr. with 8:22 to go to make it 14-10. The Fighting Irish 弁護 （機の）カム up a fourth-負かす／撃墜する stop on its 11-yard line on the next 運動.
But the 弁護 couldn't come up with a second 防御の stop.

INJURY UPDATE
