The sudden death of 中国's former No. 2 leader Li Keqiang has shocked many

HONG KONG (AP) - The sudden death of 中国's former second-最高位の leader, Li Keqiang, has shocked many people in the country, with 尊敬の印s 申し込む／申し出d up to the ex-公式の／役人 who 約束d market-oriented 改革（する）s but was 政治上 sidelined.

Li, who died 早期に Friday of a heart attack, was 中国´s 最高の，を越す経済的な公式の／役人 for a １０年間, helping navigate the world´s second-largest economy through challenges such as rising political, 経済的な and 軍の緊張s with the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs and the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Li was extolled as an excellent (共産主義者 Party of 中国) member, a time-実験（する）d and loyal 共産主義者兵士 and an 優れた proletarian revolutionist, 政治家 and leader of the Party and the 明言する／公表する," the 公式の／役人 Xinhua News 機関 said in its 簡潔な／要約する obituary.

Li was known for his advocacy of 私的な商売／仕事 but lost much of his 影響（力） as 大統領 Xi Jinping 蓄積するd ever-greater 力／強力にするs and elevated the 軍の and 安全 services in 援助（する） of the "広大な／多数の／重要な rejuvenation of the Chinese nation."

A hashtag 関係のある to his death on the Chinese social マスコミ壇・綱領・公約 Weibo drew over 1 billion 見解（をとる）s in just a few hours. On 地位，任命するs about Li, the "like" button was turned into a daisy - a ありふれた flower for funerals in 中国, and many 使用者s commented "残り／休憩（する） in peace." Others called his death a loss and said Li worked hard and 与える／捧げるd 大いに to 中国.

The Chinese 政府, however, had little to say すぐに about Li. Chinese Foreign 省 spokesperson Mao Ning asked reporters to 言及する to （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） from 公式の／役人 news 機関 Xinhua and the obituary 解放（する）d later.

"We 深く，強烈に嘆く／悼む over the 悲劇の passing of Comrade Li Keqiang 予定 to a sudden heart attack," she said.

Beijing 居住（者） Xia Fan, 20, said she was saddened by the death of Li, whom she called "a really conscientious a nd responsible 首相." She said her mind was blank when she first heard about the news.

"He really …を伴ってd the growth of our 世代, that´s how it feels in my heart," she said.

Designer Chen Hui said Li 与える／捧げるd 大いに to 中国's 開発. "If I were to talk about it, it´s impossible to finish it in one day. It´s a pity," Chen said.

U.S. 国務長官 Antony Blinken 表明するd his 弔慰s on the passing of Li, said Matthew Miller, 明言する／公表する Department spokesperson.

Nicholas 燃やすs, U.S. 外交官／大使 to 中国, also 延長するd his 弔慰s to Li's family, the Chinese 政府 and the Chinese people in both English and Chinese on X, 以前は known as Twitter.

Japan´s 大使館 in 中国表明するd its 弔慰s on Weibo. It said Li had visited Japan in 2018 and he played an importance 役割 in the relations of both countries.

Li, an English-speaking 経済学者, was from a 世代 of 政治家，政治屋s schooled during a time of greater 開いていること／寛大 to 自由主義の Western ideas. Introduced to politics during the 大混乱／混沌とした 1966-76 Cultural 革命, he made it into prestigious Peking University, where he 熟考する／考慮するd 法律 and 経済的なs, on his own 長所s rather than through political 関係s.

Li had been seen as former 共産主義者 Party leader Hu Jintao's preferred 後継者 as 大統領，／社長 about a １０年間 ago. But the need to balance party 派閥s 誘発するd the leadership to choose Xi, the son of a former 副／悪徳行為首相 and party 年上の, as the 合意候補者.

The two never formed anything like the 共同 that characterized Hu´s 関係 with his 首相, Wen Jiabao - or Mao Zedong´s with the redoubtable Zhou Enlai - although Li and Xi never 率直に同意しないd over 根底となるs.

Last October, Li was dropp ed from the Standing 委員会 at a party congress にもかかわらず存在 more than two years below the informal 退職 age of 70. He stepped 負かす／撃墜する in March and was 後継するd by Li Qiang, a crony of Xi´s from his days in 地方の政府.
