American 拘留するd in Cuba begins hunger strike

WASHINGTON (AP) ― An American who has been 拘留するd in Cuba for more than four years after 不法に setting up Internet 接近 on the island is on a hunger strike, によれば a 声明 his lawyer 解放(する)d Tuesday.

Alan 甚だしい/12ダース, 64, said he was 抗議するing his 治療 by the 政府s of Cuba and the 部隊d 明言する/公表するs. He told his lawyer that he ate his last solid meal on the evening of April 2.

The Cuban 政府 did not すぐに 答える/応じる to a request for comment.

甚だしい/12ダース' hunger strike comes as U.S. and Cuban 公式の/役人s have questioned a different USAID program on the island.
