World 圧力(をかける) Photo 展示(する) makes US debut in Philly

PHILADELPHIA (AP) ― Powerful images of 衝突, hope and daily life that earned 最高の,を越す 栄誉(を受ける)s in an international news photography 競争 can be seen in an 展示(する) making its first U.S. stop in Philadelphia.

The World 圧力(をかける) Photo 展示 will be on 見解(をとる) at Drexel University's Leonard Pearlstein Gallery from Wednesday through May 21.

The show 含むs nearly 150 images taken last year, from scenes of 破壊 wrought by 台風 Haiyan in the Philippines to a reflective portrait of a woman 捜し出すing to 支払う/賃金 final 尊敬(する)・点s to Nelson Mandela. Other 部類s 含む sports, nature and 同時代の 問題/発行するs.

The prestigious 年次の contest held by Amsterdam-based World 圧力(をかける) Photo drew nearly 100,000 入ること/参加(者)s from 132 countries. The 陳列する,発揮する of winning pictures will travel to 100 発生地s 世界的な and be seen by about 2 million people over the course of a year, 組織者s said.

"It's a picture everyone can connect to," said Anne Schaepman, the 展示(する)'s 事業/計画(する) 経営者/支配人.
