KAZANLAK, Bulgaria (AP) ― Dozens of 労働者s wade through a sea of purple, 選ぶing lavender blossoms in the sweltering heat. The 100-degree Fahrenheit 気温s give the blossoms their highest 集中 of oil ― a liquid treasure that is prized by perfume 製造者s around the world.
捕らえる、獲得するs packed with lavender petals are taken to the nearby distillery where 労働者s 圧力（をかける） them by foot before the precious oil is 抽出するd in a steam distillation 過程.
Bulgaria has overtaken フラン in the past three years as the world's biggest 生産者 of lavender oil. The Balkan country has 二塁打d its 生産／産物 from 60 metric トンs in 2011 to an 推定する／予想するd 120 トンs this year, as other Balkan countries 削減（する） 生産／産物, によれば one of the country's 最高の，を越す 生産者s.

"Bulgaria took advantage of this niche," said Filip Lissicharov, owner of Enio Bonchev lavender oil company in this central Bulgarian town.
Nikolay Ninov, an 専門家 at the 明言する／公表する-run 研究室／実験室 for 必須の oils, said the lavender 産業 can be a boon for Bulgaria as it struggles to 打ち勝つ poverty.
