SEATTLE (AP) ― U.S. 弁護士／代理人／検事 Jenny Durkan, who helped 交渉する 連邦の oversight of the Seattle Police Department after officers were 設立する to routinely use 過度の 軍隊, 発表するd Wednesday that she will leave office at the end of the month. But she doesn't know what's next.
"It's one of the first times in my life that I have not had a 職業 and have no 職業 lined up," said Durkan, 56, who was 任命するd by 大統領 Barack Obama in 2009 to serve as the 最高の，を越す 連邦の 警官 for the Western 地区 of Washington.

When asked why she's leaving with three years left in her 称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語, she said, "it seemed like this was a good time for me, for my family and for the office to take on a different challenge."

"I think that it's very important for people in any public service 役割 to remember that they serve for the public and not for themselves," Durkan said. "It's far easier to stay too long than to leave at the 権利 time."
