Pakistan コースを変えるs rivers to save cities from floods
ISLAMABAD (AP) ― 軍の specialists blew up dikes in central Pakistan to コースを変える swollen rivers and save cities from 激怒（する）ing floods that have killed hundreds of people, 当局 said Saturday, as 公式の／役人s stepped up 成果／努力s in India's part of Kashmir to 妨げる the spread of water-borne 病気s there.
In Pakistan, the 違反s at the 洪水ing Chenab River were 成し遂げるd 夜通し as 洪水s reached Multan, a city famous for its Sufi saints. Pakistani news channels showed pictures of 洪水s 噴出するing through the blown-up dikes.
Civil and 軍の 公式の／役人s have been using ヘリコプターs and boats to 避難させる marooned people since Sept. 3, when floods 誘発する／引き起こすd by 季節風 rains 攻撃する，衝突する Pakistan and Kashmir, which is divided between Pakistan and 隣接地の India.

Pakistan's 軍の said in a 声明 Saturday that it was still 避難させるing people and 空気／公表する-dropping food in the 地区s of Multan, Muzaffargarh and Jhang. It said 軍隊／機動隊s had 空気／公表する-dropped トンs of food in flood-影響する／感情d areas, while the army's 医療の teams were also 扱う／治療するing 患者s.
Ahmad Kamal, the 広報担当者 for Pakistan's 国家の 災害 管理／経営 当局, said rains and floods had killed 280 people and 負傷させるd more than 500 in Pakistan and Pakistani-治めるd Kashmir. He said more than 2 million people had been 影響する／感情d.
Kamal said 救助者s had 避難させるd 276,681 persons from flood-攻撃する，衝突する areas and 空中の 監視するing was 存在 done through ヘリコプターs.
On Saturday, 明言する／公表する-run Pakistan television showed pictures of men and women wading through waist-深い waters. It also showed army ヘリコプターs plucking people from rooftops and trees in inundated villages. Pictures taken from ヘリコプターs showed 潜水するd villages and towns in the 地区s of Jhang and Multan.
Pakistani 総理大臣 Nawaz Sharif, who is himself 監督するing 救助（する） 操作／手術s, traveled to Jhang on Saturday.
In a テレビ放送するd speech there, Sharif said his 政府 was 免除されたing flood-影響する／感情d people f rom 支払う／賃金ing their electricity 法案s.
"I 保証する you that we will 再構築する your homes. We will do whatever is possible to help you," he told a 集会 of 生存者s 近づく a flooded village.
