WASHINGTON (AP) ― 会合，会う the new 上院 schedule: same as the old 上院 schedule.
When 共和国の／共和党のs 大勝するd 民主党員s in November's midterm 選挙s, 上院 共和国の／共和党の leader Mitch McConnell 約束d there would be changes in how the 上院 機能（する）／行事d. More open 審議, more 改正s, more work hours, more 投票（する）s.
As 大多数 leader McConnell has made good on some of that, 持つ／拘留するing more 投票（する）s in his first month ― mostly on 改正s to a 法案 権限を与えるing the Keystone XL oil pipeline ― than in the entire previous year under 上院 Democratic leader Harry Reid.
But McConnell has yet to 配達する on his suggestion that the 上院 would be in 開会／開廷／会期 定期的に and 投票（する）ing on Fridays.
"I don't think we've had any 投票（する）s on Friday in anybody's memory," he 発言／述べるd during a news 会議／協議会 after the November 選挙s.
More than a month into 共和国の／共和党のs' 支配（する）／統制する of the 上院, there still has not been a 投票（する） in a Friday 開会／開廷／会期.
On this Friday, Feb. 13, the House was in 開会／開廷／会期 and 投票（する）ing in the morning, but 上院議員s were long gone to get an 早期に start on the 大統領's Day 休会. They left with the 母国 安全 Department 直面するing a 予算 shut-off Feb. 27 with no 解答 in sight.
