US, others sponsor 'graphic' photo 展示（する） on Syria at UN
UNITED NATIONS (AP) ― With the U.N. 安全 会議 封鎖するd from taking strong 活動／戦闘 on Syria, the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs and other nations are hoping to shame its 政府 by sponsoring a graphic photo 展示（する） of 抑留者s who've died in 大統領 Bashar Assad's 刑務所，拘置所s since the country's 衝突 began.
Fifteen countries will join the 対立 Syrian 国家の 連合 on Tuesday at 国際連合 （警察，軍隊などの）本部 to 開始する，打ち上げる the 展示（する） of portraits showing 調印するs of 拷問 and 餓死 and to call for an end to the 危機 that enters its fifth year this month.
"Anyone who has seen the images will never forget them," U.S. 国務長官 John Kerry said in an 演説（する）／住所 to the U.N. Human 権利s 会議 in Geneva last week. "Maimed 団体／死体s, people with their 注目する，もくろむs gouged out, emaciated 囚人s. It 反抗するs anybody's sense of humanity."

The images are from a collection taken by a 罪，犯罪 scene photographer for the Syrian 軍の who was 再任命するd to photograph the 団体／死体s of 反逆者／反逆するs and 反体制者s after the 衝突 began. He later defected, and his 古記録 of images of more than 10,000 団体／死体s was 密輸するd out of the country. He now goes by the pseudonym Caesar, and he 証言するd in disguise last year before the U.S. 議会, 説 he had 証言，証人／目撃するd a "genocidal 大虐殺."
Syrian 対立 groups hope to use his images to 起訴する Assad's 政府 for war 罪，犯罪s, and they're starting to 地位，任命する the images online in the hope that the public will help in identifying the dead. The 連邦検察局 has been 査定する／（税金などを）課すing the authenticity of the photos, while U.S. and other 公式の／役人s have 賞賛するd Caesar for his work.
After a 見解（をとる）ing behind の近くにd doors for 安全 会議 members last year, U.S. 外交官／大使 Samantha 力／強力にする said the photos "示す that the Assad 政権 has carried out systematic, 普及した and 産業の 殺人，大当り."

Some 会議 members have said it's time to try again for an ICC referral.

The U.N. 代表者／国会議員 of the Syrian 国家の 連合, Najib Ghadbian, told The Associated 圧力（をかける） that Syria's 代表者／国会議員s at the U.N. were welcome to …に出席する, though the two 味方するs don't speak to each other. The 連合 in January 需要・要求するd that the U.N. take 負かす／撃墜する a photo 展示（する） sponsored by the Syrian 使節団 to the U.N. that referred to the 対立 as "terror groups." That failed, and the 連合 追求するd its own event.
When he saw the photos from the Caesar 展示（する） for the first time Friday in his office, Ghadbian said he sobbed.
"Every 選び出す／独身 one of them is very graphic and 乱すing. But this is what's happening," he said. "We need to tell the world that impunity cannot go on."
