Clinton kicks off 2016 企て,努力,提案, embracing chance to make history

NEW YORK (AP) ― Hillary Rodham Clinton 正式に kicked off her 大統領の (選挙などの)運動をする on Saturday with an enthusiastic embrace of her 可能性のある to become the first woman to 勝利,勝つ the White House, asking 支持者s gathered at an outdoor 決起大会/結集させる to join her in building an America "where we don't leave anyone out, or anyone behind."

With the downtown New York skyline and new World 貿易(する) 中心 over her shoulder, Clinton 申し込む/申し出d herself as a 猛烈な/残忍な 支持する for those still struggling from the 広大な/多数の/重要な 後退,不況.

She 約束d to carry on the 自由主義の 遺産/遺物s of 大統領 Barack Obama, and former 大統領s Franklin D. Roosevelt and 法案 Clinton, her husband, 説 "real and 継続している 繁栄 must be built by all and 株d by all."

While Clinton ended her first (選挙などの)運動をする for 大統領,/社長 in 2008 by 譲歩するing she and her 支援者s "weren't able to 粉々にする that highest, hardest glass 天井," she 公約するd Saturday to 押し進める ahead toward an "America where a father can tell his daughter: Yes, you can be anything you want to be ― even 大統領,/社長 of the 部隊d 明言する/公表するs."

"I think you know by now that I've been called many things by many people," Clinton said to 元気づけるs and laughter from the (人が)群がる of 概略で 5,500 集会 on Roosevelt Island in the East River. "Quitter is not one of them."

The 67-year-old former 長官 of 明言する/公表する, first lady and Democratic 上院議員 from New York did not make her gender a 核心 element in 2008, but it 供給するd the cap to the first major speech of her 2016 企て,努力,提案.

"I will be the youngest woman 大統領,/社長 in the history of the 部隊d 明言する/公表するs. And the first grandmother 同様に," she said.

Two months after starting her (選挙などの)運動をする with a simple ビデオ that showed her only 簡潔に, Clinton 輪郭(を描く)d a 幅の広い 見通し ーするつもりであるd to attract the 連合 of young and 少数,小数派 投票者s that propelled Obama to two victories.

In her 概略で 45 minute speech, Clinton laid out a wish 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる) of Democratic 政策s: 全世界の/万国共通の pre-K education, 増加するd 規則 of the 財政上の 産業, paid sick leave and equal 支払う/賃金 for women, a path to 市民権 for i mmigrants living in the country 不法に, (選挙などの)運動をする 財政/金融 精密検査する and a 禁止(する) on 差別 against gay people and their families.

In doing so, Clinton tried to cast the 2016 選挙 as a choice about the 経済的な 未来 of the middle class, 説 the 共和国の/共和党の field is "singing the same old song."

The GOP's 候補者s, she said, want to give 塀で囲む Street banks 解放する/自由な 統治する, take away health 保険, "turn their 支援するs" on gay people and ignore the science of 気候 change.

"Fundamentally, they 拒絶する what it takes to build an inclusive economy," Clinton said. "It takes an inclusive society. What I once called 'a village' that has a place for everyone."

共和国の/共和党のs jumped on Clinton's 決定/判定勝ち(する) to 特記する/引用する her 関係 to Obama and were trying to raise money off the speech almost as soon as it ended. In an email 控訴,上告 asking for 寄付s, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry wrote, "We want to look toward a brighter 未来, not backward at the failed 政策s of the Obama-Clinton years."

As part of an 成果/努力 to 再提出する herself to the public, Clinton 強調する/ストレスd her career of advocacy ― a calling she said was 奮起させるd by her mother's difficult しつけ.

After the 決起大会/結集させる, she traveled to Iowa for a house party event Saturday night, where she 勧めるd 支持者s to 調印する up to help her (選挙などの)運動をする. The event was streamed online to more than 600 開始する,打ち上げる parties around the country, part of a 小旅行する of 早期に-投票(する)ing 明言する/公表するs this week. There, she will 焦点(を合わせる) on her 関係 with her mother and her father's background as a 退役軍人 and small 実業家.

Clinton is the 支配的な 前線-走者 for the 指名/任命 in a race that also 含むs Sen. Bernie やすりを削る人/削る機械s of Vermont, former Maryland Gov. ツバメ O'Malley and former Rhode Island Gov . Lincoln Chafee.

Clinton's 補佐官s said she 計画(する)s to give a 政策 演説(する)/住所 almost every week during the summer and 落ちる.

New York has one of the highest 率s of income 不平等 in the country, so Clinton's 発言/述べるs here could foreshadow a (選挙などの)運動をする that will draw contrasts with 競争相手s over who best can 供給する de for the country's 経済的な 安全.

"繁栄 can't be just for CEOs and hedge 基金 経営者/支配人s," Clinton said. "You brought our country 支援する, now it's time your time to 安全な・保証する the 伸び(る)s and move ahead."

Yet the Clinton family's 財政上の history makes some in her party skeptical of her 人民党員 信任状. Both Clintons have earned millions in speaking 料金s, 含むing some from 塀で囲む Street banks, and daughter Chelsea and her husband have worked at hedge 基金s.

Clinton spoke about 外交政策 for the first time in any 重要な 詳細(に述べる) since returning to 大統領の politics.

As Obama's first 長官 of 明言する/公表する, Clinton said she stood up to ロシアの leader Vladimir Putin and was in the White House 状況/情勢 Room the night Osama 貯蔵所 Laden was killed.

Here, too, Clinton tried to 始める,決める herself apart from the more than dozen 共和国の/共和党のs who 計画(する) to run and have 焦点(を合わせる)d, 早期に in the (選挙などの)運動をする, on the 脅しs the nation 直面するs overseas.

"There are a lot of trouble 位置/汚点/見つけ出すs in the world, but there's a lot of good news out there, too," Clinton said.

Clinton remained silent on some 問題/発行するs of 批判的な importance to the Democratic base, most 顕著に a 太平洋の 縁 貿易(する) 協定/条約 支援するd by Obama but …に反対するd by 組織するd labor, 自由主義のs and others who say it will cost the U.S. 職業s.

The omi ssion didn't go unnoticed in Iowa and New Hampshire, where やすりを削る人/削る機械s and O'Malley were (選挙などの)運動をするing.

Both are against the 貿易(する) 取引,協定, and やすりを削る人/削る機械s again 大打撃を与えるd Clinton for 辞退するing to say where she stood while touting his support from 組織するd labor.

"I want to say this: The 大統領,/社長 is dead wrong on this 問題/発行する, but he has come out for it," やすりを削る人/削る機械s said. "Most 民主党員s in the 議会 are against it. But I don't understand how you don't have a position on this 問題/発行する."
