Los Angeles raises 最小限 行う to $15 per hour
LOS ANGELES (AP) ― 市長 Eric Garcetti 調印するd into 法律 on Saturday an 法令／条例 that makes Los Angeles the biggest city in the nation to 徐々に raise the 最小限 行う to $15 an hour.
He called the 法律 "a major victory for our city" at a 調印 儀式 in south Los Angeles, and said the 行う 増加するs will enable working families to 解除する themselves out of poverty.
"LA as a whole will 利益 from this 上げる: We have always 栄えるd the most when everyone is able to spend money into our economy," Garcetti said.

The 法律 will 上げる the 最小限 行う to $10.50 in July 2016, followed by 年次の 増加するs to $12, $13.25, $14.25 and $15. Small 商売／仕事s and 確かな nonprofits get an extra year to 段階 in the 増加するs.
Calls for raising the 最小限 行う have grown as the nation struggles with fallout from the 後退，不況, より悪くするing income 不平等, 執拗な poverty and the challenges of 移民／移住 and the 全世界の economy.
Seattle and San Francisco also have 段階d-in 最小限 行う 法律s that 結局 要求する hourly 支払う／賃金 of $15 an hour, or 年次の 支払う／賃金 of about $31,200 for a 十分な-time 職業. Last year, Chicago passed a 段階d-in 最小限 行う 増加する to $13 an hour.
