Seas are rising way faster than any time in past 2,800 years
WASHINGTON (AP) ― Sea levels on Earth are rising several times faster than they have in the past 2,800 years and are 加速するing because of man-made 全世界の warming, によれば new 熟考する／考慮するs.
An international team of scientists dug into two dozen 場所s across the globe to chart gently rising and 落ちるing seas over centuries and millennia. Until the 1880s and the world's industrialization, the fastest seas rose was about 1 to 1.5 インチs (3 to 4 センチメートルs) a century, 加える or minus a bit. "There's no question that the 20th century is the fastest," said Rutgers earth and planetary sciences professor （頭が）ひょいと動く Kopp, lead author of the 熟考する／考慮する that looked 支援する at sea levels over the past three millennia. Sea level rise in the 20th century is mostly man-made, the 熟考する／考慮する authors said. A separate, not-yet-published 熟考する／考慮する by Kopp and others 設立する since 1950, about two-thirds of the U.S. nuisance 沿岸の floods in 27 地元のs have the 指紋s of man-made warming.
