Plucked from the 不確定 of Lesbos: 12 Syrian 難民s
ROME (AP) ― ローマ法王 Francis says his gesture is "a 減少（する） of water in the sea" of Europe's 移住 危機. Yet for 12 Syrian 難民s, the ローマ法王's 決定／判定勝ち（する） to 飛行機で行く them 支援する to Italy from Greece is an 行為／法令／行動する of 親切 that will resonate for the 残り／休憩（する） of their lives.
"Thanks be to God," exulted Wafa, mother of two children who made the trip with her husband Osama as she arrived in Rome. "I thank the ローマ法王 for this very human gesture."
The three イスラム教徒 families, 含むing six children, had all fled their homes まっただ中に the 荒廃 of Syria's civil war. They were plucked from a 難民 （軍の）野営地，陣営 on the Greek island of Lesbos, where they have been 立ち往生させるd for weeks. They were chosen because they had their 文書s in order, not to make a political point to Europe about the need to better 統合する イスラム教徒s, the ローマ法王 said.

"Their 特権 is that they are children of God," Francis told reporters en 大勝する home to Italy after an emotional trip to Lesbos on Saturday.
The Roman カトリック教徒 charity Sant'Egidio, which is 供給するing the 難民s with 予選 援助, welcomed them at their （警察，軍隊などの）本部 in Rome's Trastevere 近隣 late Saturday. The mothers were given red roses, and they were 拍手喝采する as they arrived.
Sant'Egidio 解放（する）d some 詳細（に述べる）s about the 難民s but didn't give any of their last 指名するs 予定 to privacy 関心s.
Hasan and Nour, both engineers, and their 2-year-old son fled their home in Zabadani, a 山地の area on the 郊外s of the Syrian 資本／首都 of Damascus that has been ひどく 爆弾d. They 長，率いるd to Turkey and took a boat across the Aegean Sea to Lesbos, like hundreds of thousands before them, hoping to reach Europe. But Austria and several Balkan nations shut their 国境s to 難民s in 早期に March, 立ち往生させるing more than 50,000 people in Greece.
Ramy and Suhila, a couple in their 50s, （機の）カム from Deir el-Zour, a Syrian city の近くに to the Iraqi 国境 which has been 荒廃させるd in street-by-street fighting between Islamic 明言する／公表する 交戦的なs and 政府 軍隊／機動隊s. They arrived in Greece with their three children in February 経由で Turkey. Ramy is a teacher, Suhila a tailor, Sant'Egidio said.
The third family, Osama and Wafa, あられ／賞賛する from the Damascus 郊外 of Zamalka. Their youngest still wakes each night ― and even stopped speaking for a time ― 明らかに 予定 to the 外傷／ショック of the war and the 旅行 to Europe.
They were selected after 存在 identified as 攻撃を受けやすい and deserving of 人道的な 保護, and after 存在 interviewed about their hopes for 解決／入植地 in Europe, said Daniela Pompei, the Sant'Egidio 公式の／役人 who helped 容易にする the 事業／計画（する）. She said all 12 had been 登録（する）d as 亡命-探検者s in Greece but will now 現実に make their requests in Italy.
They had all arrived in Lesbos in the past two months, meaning they had lived through the brunt of Syria's civil war, she said.
"They resisted for five years," she said.
Francis said his 決定／判定勝ち（する） to bring the 難民s to Italy was a "純粋に 人道的な" gesture and not a political 行為／法令／行動する.
Many human 権利s groups have 非難するd the European Union's new 政策 of 国外追放するing some migrants 支援する to Turkey. The Vatican made sure that all 12 it selected Saturday had arrived on Lesbos before a March 20 最終期限, and were not 支配する to any possible 国外追放 to Turkey.
Speaking on the flight home with the 難民s sitting behind him, Francis said the idea of bringing some 難民s 支援する （機の）カム to him only a week ago from a Vatican 公式の／役人. He said he 受託するd it "すぐに" because it was in keeping with the message of humanity that he 手配中の，お尋ね者 to send with his trip to Lesbos.
Francis said the Vatican would take 十分な 責任／義務 for the 12 Syrians. He said two Christian families had been on the 初めの 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）, but they didn't have their 文書s in order.
Hundreds of migrants have died in the Aegean Sea this year as the flimsy dinghies 供給（する）d by 密輸するing ギャング（団）s 沈む or 転覆する.
The ローマ法王 特記する／引用するd Mother Teresa in 答える／応じるing to a question about whether his gesture of bringing 12 難民s to Italy would change the 審議 about Europe's migrant 危機.
"It's a 減少（する） of water in the sea. But after this 減少（する）, the sea will never be the same," he said.
