WASHINGTON (AP) ― Will Donald Trump remake school lunches into his 急速な/放蕩な-food favorites of burgers and fried chicken when he's 大統領,/社長?

The Obama 行政 has made healthier, safer and better labeled food a 優先 in the last eight years, 意味ありげに raising the profile of food 政策 and いつかs 製図/抽選 the 怒らせる of 共和国の/共和党のs, 農業者s and the food 産業. The first lady made 減ずるing childhood obesity one of her 署名 問題/発行するs through her "Let's Move" (選挙などの)運動をする.

In 新規加入 to the healthier school meal 支配するs, the 行政 勧めるd a 広範囲にわたる food safety 法律 through 議会, 押し進めるd through several new food labeling 規則s, started to 段階 out trans fats, 追加するd calorie labels to menus and 示唆するd new 限界s on ナトリウム in 一括d foods. The White House has also fended off 成果/努力s in the 共和国の/共和党の 議会 to 削減する the nation's food stamp program.

"Food 支持するs are already nostalgic for the Obama 時代 and will be playing 弁護 for the next four years," says Sam Kass, a former White House 上級の 助言者 on 栄養 and personal chef for the Obamas.

A look at some of the food 規則s that could be scrapped ― or tweaked ― in the new 行政:

___

MAKING SCHOOL MEALS GREAT AGAIN

Trump himself hasn't 重さを計るd in on school meal 規則s. But 共和国の/共和党のs, school 栄養 directors and some in the food 産業 have 妨げるd at parts of the 行政's 支配するs that 始める,決める 厳格な人 f at, sugar and ナトリウム 限界s, の中で other 基準s, on foods in the lunch line and beyond. While many students and schools have now gotten used to the healthier foods, some still complain that the 基準s are 高くつく/犠牲の大きい and difficult to 会合,会う.

"I would be very surprised if we don't see some major changes on the school lunch program" and some other food 問題/発行するs, said Rep. Robert Aderholt of Alabama, the 共和国の/共和党の chairman of the House 小委員会 that 監督するs 農業 Department spending.

Aderholt, who sits on Trump's 農業 諮問委員会, says the Obama 行政's approach was "行動主義者 driven" and people who 投票(する)d for Trump are looking for a more ありふれた-sense approach.

法律制定 is 未解決の in both the House and 上院 to 改訂する some of the 基準s, and will likely be considered again next year. USDA could also make some changes on its own.

One of many 指名するs that have been floated as a possible 農業 長官 is Sid Miller, the Texas 農業 Commissioner who 廃止するd a 明言する/公表する 禁止(する) on 深い fryers and soda machines at schools. Miller recently got in trouble when he used a profanity on Twitter to 述べる 民主党員 Hillary Clinton; he 非難するd a スタッフの一員 and the tweet was 削除するd.

THE FOOD POLICE

In September, the Trump (選挙などの)運動をする pitched rolling 支援する food safety 規則s in a fact sheet, arguing they are burdensome to 農業者s and 非難するing 増加するd 査察s of food 製造業の 施設s as "overkill." The sheet referred to the "food police" at the Food and 麻薬 行政. The (選挙などの)運動をする later 削除するd the 提案 from its website.

議会 passed new food safety 規則s in 2010, a year after a salmonella 突発/発生 linked t o a Georgia peanut company killed nine people. Michael Taylor, former FDA 副 commissioner for foods who oversaw the food safety 支配するs, says it wouldn't be popular with 消費者s to roll them 支援する.

"消費者s are only getting more 焦点(を合わせる)d on safety, health and wellness," Taylor says.

Trump himself is a self-professed germaphobe who prefers eating at 急速な/放蕩な-food restaurants because he believes they have higher food safety 基準s.

___

FOOD STAMPS

連邦議会の 共和国の/共和党のs have been 診察するing food stamps since the program's cost grew to almost $80 billion 毎年 after the 後退,不況. 参加 and costs have dipped since its 2013 high, but 保守的なs have 示唆するd 強化するing 適格(性) 基準s or 増加するing work 必要物/必要条件s. House (衆議院の)議長 Paul Ryan has for years 支持する/優勝者d an 精密検査する to the program.

民主党員s in the 上院 have 終始一貫して 反対するd to any changes, and will still (権力などを)行使する 影響(力). But they won't have the 支援 of a Democratic White House.

___

OTHER FOOD POLICY

Many other 法律s are either already in place or の近くに to it, 含むing a 改訂するd "栄養 facts" パネル盤 on the 支援する of food 一括s, with a new line breaking out 追加するd sugars, a labeling 法律 for genetically 修正するd foods and calorie labeling on restaurant and supermarket menus.

In many 事例/患者s, the 支配するs are a result of 妥協 with 産業. Kass says that pulling 支援する may just create more cost and 不確定 for 商売/仕事s.

"Unwinding things is really hard, 特に when most of them have been 器具/実施するd and 産業 has moved on," Kass say s.

He 予報するs most of the 規則s will stay, but that there will be little 付加 進歩. 現在進行中の 行政 成果/努力s to 減ずる ナトリウム in food and 抗生物質s in meat could be 死傷者s.

Margo Wootan, a lobbyist on 栄養 問題/発行するs for the 中心 for Science in the Public 利益/興味, says 支持するs will continue to be 積極的な at the 明言する/公表する and 地元の levels, hoping change will 泡 up.

"The public is more 利益/興味d than ever in 栄養 and will continue to 圧力(をかける) companies," she says.
