More time needed before Tiger 支持を得ようと努めるd is 裁判官d by his 得点する/非難する/20s

NASSAU, Bahamas (AP) ― A flop 発射 that 要求するd feel. A wedge to a 支援する pin that he had to 信用. Tiger 支持を得ようと努めるd followed those two birdies with a perfect 6-アイロンをかける that he 手配中の,お尋ね者 to be even better, 勧めるing it to move "one yard ... one yard!"

The ゴルフ ball didn't listen. Television テレビ視聴者s did.

And his three straight birdies after going 466 days without 競争 sure got everyone's attention, even those who were playing.

"When I saw that he was 4 under through eight, I 手配中の,お尋ね者 to 身を引く so I could go watch him," Russell Knox said.

Was he 支援する to 存在 Tiger 支持を得ようと努めるd?

Of course not.

This was only the 前線 nine of the first 一連の会議、交渉/完成する at the Hero World Challenge. By the end of the week, 支持を得ようと努めるd was 15th out of 17 players . What returned was the excitement of having him inside the ropes again.

"Everybody loves the 復帰 story," Matt Kuchar said. "A guy like Tiger, good or bad, draws attention. If it's good, it gets really exciting."

So he's 支援する. And now he's gone again.

Still to be 決定するd is when he will play and how much. There has been chatter, and nothing more at this 行う/開催する/段階, of 支持を得ようと努めるd playing in the Abu Dhabi HSBC 選手権 the third week in January. HSBC already has Rickie Fowler and Dustin Johnson, not to について言及する Rory McIlroy and Henrik Stenson, and might not want to break the bank. But a happy and healthy week for 支持を得ようと努めるd in the Bahamas ― not to について言及する his 24 birdies ― certainly raised 利益/興味.

Torrey Pines is a week later and a more likely start.

支持を得ようと努めるd said in his "heart of hearts" he wants to play a 十分な schedule. It will a different one, at least 早期に.

Riviera is 支援する on the schedule because his 創立/基礎 runs it. The Valspar 選手権 at Innisbrook is in play because it's a week after one World ゴルフ 選手権 and two weeks before another ― both in the month 主要な to the Masters. 支持を得ようと努めるd isn't 適格の for either WGC event and won't be unless he 勝利,勝つs before then.

That leads to the more 批判的な question.

When will it be time to stop marveling at seeing the red shirt and start 裁判官ing him by red numbers on the scoreboard?

支持を得ようと努めるd doesn't like any victory that doesn't come with a トロフィー, so he was quick to point out "silly mistakes" and six 二塁打 bogeys whenever he caught himself getting too excited talking about his good ゴルフ. But he had 推論する/理由 to smile. Only the 勝利者, Hideki Matsuyama, had as many sub-par 穴を開けるs. 支持を得ようと努めるd 発射 65 in the second 一連の会議、交渉/完成する with no bogeys, not a tall order at Albany except that it was his first tournament in 15 months.

This was a good week for him.

His swing showed very little 強調する/ストレス. It was graceful, not violent. 支持を得ようと努めるd knows he isn't の中で the 最高の,を越す 力/強力にする players anymore, though he showed ample length off the tee, even finding an extra gear on occasion. He said before the tournament he had all the 発射s, and there was little 証拠 to 示唆する さもなければ.

He just didn't 得点する/非難する/20 very 井戸/弁護士席. But only those wanting to see him fail cared about that after such a long layoff.

That will change over time. There's just no 合意 on when.

"Give him three or four tournaments, maybe six tournaments, maybe around the Masters," Henrik Stenson said. "Probably give him a number of tournaments and he might be in 論争 in one of the 早期に ones next year. Then you know you have the answer quicker. It's 平易な to overanalyze a very 限られた/立憲的な 量 of ゴルフ."

Kuchar said he has low 期待s of 支持を得ようと努めるd in the Bahamas, and was impressed to see him start 73-65-70.

"I still don't 持つ/拘留する him to any 基準 just yet," he said. "He's 肉親,親類d of a new man. 広大な/多数の/重要な to see. Shoot, he gets 支援する in the 追跡(する) and 勝利,勝つs a tournament, you'd have to put those 期待s 権利 支援する on him. For having nearly two years off, it's hard to 持つ/拘留する a guy to his typical 期待 level."

Brandt Snedeker was curious to see how much 進歩 支持を得ようと努めるd makes in his next tournament. Others, like Jordan Spieth and Zach Johnson, had a longer 見解(をとる) when it (機の)カム to 手段ing 支持を得ようと努めるd by his 得点する/非難する/20s.

"To me, it's if we can 雑談(する) next year at this point," Johnson said. "It's not so much the ゴルフ game and the ゴルフ swing and the putts 存在 穴を開けるd and 論争. It's 肉体的に. Can he withstand a Tiger year, which is what, 15 to 20 events?"

Curiosity has given way to 予期. 疑問s have been 取って代わるd by 楽観主義.

Reality is still months away, if not longer.
