Review: 'John Wick 2' is an extravagantly violent good time
Before you buy a ticket to see "John Wick: 一時期／支部 2 ," the improbably fun sequel to the implausibly good "John Wick," you might want to ask yourself how much 寛容 you have for gun 発射s to the 長，率いる, because there are a lot of those in "John Wick: 一時期／支部 2." More than you might think possible in a 選び出す／独身 movie. Is it gratuitous? Yes. Do all those people deserve to die? Probably not. But for our bearded boogeyman, who one character calls a priest and the devil in a 選び出す／独身 宣告，判決, a 発射 to the 長，率いる and one to the chest gets the 職業 done quickly and efficiently. Why make things 極端に 複雑にするd?
The same goes for the movie, about the storied 暗殺者 who was driven out of 退職 and 支援する into the game after some mobsters stole his 1969 Mustang and killed his puppy. Stuntman-turned-director Chad Stahelski's sequel is straightforward, 急速な／放蕩な-paced and gets the 職業 done entertainment-wise.
True to its 指名する, "一時期／支部 2" literally 選ぶs up where the first left off. In a skull-crushingly loud sequence 伴う／関わるing 多重の men getting 投げ上げる／ボディチェックするd off car hoods, John Wick (Keanu Reeves) retrieves his Mustang from the crooks 持つ／拘留するing it 人質 (許すing for some knowingly extreme 解説，博覧会 about just how scary this guy is). It's like a 特別手当 "final scene" from the first film that gives 終結 to John's 復讐 使節団 and reminds us of his folk hero legend status. It also 押し進めるs reboot on the whole thing, 許すing John to finally return to his modernist 城 in the 支持を得ようと努めるd, bury his 武器s once more in 固める／コンクリート, reminisce abou t his dead love and play with his dog (yep, there's a new one).

But soon enough, Santino D'Antonio (Riccardo Scamarcio) is knocking at his door asking John to 返す the 負債 he 借りがあるs. In this (a)手の込んだ／(v)詳述する 犯罪の 暗黒街, there are only two 支配するs: No 血 is to be 流出／こぼすd at The 大陸の (the 暗殺者 hotel), and "markers" must always be 栄誉（を受ける）d. Santino helped John get out of the game, and into his multimillion dollar home, and now he wants to cash in the 好意.
This request leads John even その上の into the world of these dandy 暗殺者s as he goes to 遂行する／発効させる Santino's 使節団, and boy is it fun ― 特に the "getting ready" sequence where we get to see John 存在 fitted for bespoke 控訴s (Occasion? Social. Buttons? Two. Style? 戦術の) and choosing his 武器s from The Sommelier (Peter Serafi nowicz).
From there, it's really just 活動／戦闘 sequence after 活動／戦闘 sequence ― from an Italian rave to a final 対決 at a modern art 展示（する）. The visuals are always exciting and over the 最高の，を越す, and creative in 井戸／弁護士席-trod 領土 for the genre (like a subway 壇・綱領・公約), even if the 陰謀（を企てる） gets a little repetitive in the third 行為／法令／行動する.
The film is jam-packed with amazing cameos and supporting players, from フランス系カナダ人 Nero as the 経営者／支配人 of the Rome 支店 of The 大陸の and ありふれた as a fellow 暗殺者 with a grudge, to Laurence Fishburne as the Bowery King. Ruby Rose is an amusing standout, too, as a 蒸し暑い, mute 護衛 who communicates in 調印する language. There are also some returning players, like Lance Reddick as the 大陸の's concierge and Ian McShane as the New York 大陸の 経営者／支配人 同様に as a handful of others.
And Reeves is in 最高の，を越す form as the perpetually unruffled John Wick. It's a 役割 that is tailor-made for his low-重要な intensity and one that will fit him for years to come.
Both "John Wick" films are sendups of the tasteless 超過 of B-活動／戦闘 pics and all-out 祝賀s of their vulgarity. "一時期／支部 2" is the best one could hope for in an 活動／戦闘 sequel, and it doesn't even have the "killed the puppy" gimmick on its 味方する. The only real question is when we'll get the gift of a "一時期／支部 3."
"John Wick: 一時期／支部 2," a Lionsgate 解放（する） is 率d R by the 動議 Picture 協会 of America for "strong 暴力／激しさ throughout, some language and 簡潔な／要約する nudity." Running time: 122 minutes. Three 星／主役にするs out of four.
