For a new 大統領，／社長, an 選挙 that won't fade
WASHINGTON (AP) ― For 大統領 Donald Trump, the 2016 選挙 is never far from his mind.
When he met with a group of 郡保安官s from around the country in the White House on Tuesday, Trump saw not just lawmen but battleground 明言する／公表するs. In short order he was talking about his victories with 公式の／役人s from Pennsylvania and North Carolina. And when a 郡保安官 from Minnesota introduced himself, the new 大統領，／社長 mused about what could have been in a 明言する／公表する that hasn't supported a 共和国の／共和党の 大統領の 候補者 since Richard Nixon in 1972.
"You know, we weren't supposed to do very 井戸／弁護士席 in your 明言する／公表する and we lost by 1 point," Trump said. "I say if I went there one more visit, we would have won ― we would have won Minnesota."

More than two weeks into his 大統領／総裁などの地位, the 大統領，／社長 is still fixated on the last fight. Many of his public comments 含む 言及／関連s to his 選挙 業績／成果. At times, the comments appear to be light and boastful. In other moments, he's awkwardly interjecting 選挙 talk at 会議s that are decidedly apolitical.
At the U.S. Central 命令（する） in Florida on Monday, the new 指揮官 in 長，指導者 opened his 発言／述べるs by telling a group of 軍の 公式の／役人s and 軍隊／機動隊s, "We had a wonderful 選挙, didn't we? And I saw those numbers and you like me and I like you."
After a wide-範囲ing 会合 with Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, on Tuesday, the 下院議員 said they also talked about the size of Trump's victory in Utah "for a moment."
"I said, 'Yeah, you did 井戸／弁護士席 in Utah, Mr. 大統領,'" Chaffetz said.
Trump won the 選挙（人）の College 投票（する） by a comfortable 利ざや but lost the popular 投票（する） by nearly 2.9 million 投票（する）s to 民主党員 Hillary Clinton, metrics that continue to come up in conversations at the start of his 行政.
In his first 会合 with 共和国の／共和党の and Democratic congressional leaders, Trump 主張するd that between 3 million and 5 million 違法な 投票（する）s were cast in the 選挙. There is no 証拠 of 普及した 投票者 詐欺, but Trump has since called for a "major 調査" and 仕事d 副大統領 マイク Pence with 長，率いるing up a （売買）手数料，委託（する）／委員会／権限 to review it.

For Trump, the （選挙などの）運動をする talk appears to serve as an 平易な ice-breaker to connect with 訪問者s. It may also be a habit of a relentless self-promoter, a hangover from his months on the （選挙などの）運動をする 追跡する. What's （疑いを）晴らす is the new 大統領，／社長 is eager to get a daily dose of validation, even now that he's off the stump.

"People in uniform tend to like me," the 大統領，／社長 said. "The numbers were staggering."
