Pence tries to 安心させる European leaders shaken by Trump
BRUSSELS (AP) - U.S. 副大統領 マイク Pence on Monday 公約するd to stand with the European Union and the 北大西洋条約機構 軍の 同盟, but was met with some 懐疑心 from leaders shaken by 大統領 Donald Trump's more 批判的な comments.
European Union 会議 大統領 Donald Tusk said he had "open and frank 会談" with Pence and that the 圏 would watch closely to 確実にする the U.S. 行為／法令／行動するs on its words of support.
"I heard words which are 約束ing for the 未来, words which explain a lot about the new approach in Washington," Tusk said.

"Too many new and いつかs surprising opinions have been 発言する／表明するd over this time about our relations - and our ありふれた 安全 - for us to pretend that everything is as it used to be," he said, 追加するing that Europe was counting on the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs' "wholehearted and 明白な" support.

In a visit Brussels, Pence said Trump had asked him "to 表明する the strong かかわり合い of the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs to continued 協調 and 共同 with the European Union."
After 会談 with 北大西洋条約機構 長官 General Jens Stoltenberg, Pence 繰り返し言うd the 行政's strong support for the 同盟, but 警告するd that Trump wants to see "real 進歩" by the end of the year on 上げるing 弁護 spending.
