LONDON (AP) - A British couple who want their 関係 認めるd in 法律 without the "patriarchal baggage" of marriage on Tuesday lost the 最新の 行う／開催する／段階 in their fight to be 許すd a civil 共同.
Rebecca Steinfeld and Charles Keidan say they and other couples 直面する 差別 because only same-sex couples are 適格の for civil 共同s.

Since 2005, gay couples in Britain have been able to form civil 共同s, which give them the same 合法的な 保護, 採択 and 相続物件 権利s as 異性愛の married partners. Same-sex marriage became 合法的な in 2014.
The couple's lawyer, Karon Monaghan, said Steinfeld and Keidan 手配中の，お尋ね者 "to enter into a 合法的に 規制するd 関係 which does not carry with it patriarchal baggage, which many consider comes with the 会・原則 of marriage."

Keidan said they would 控訴，上告 to the 最高裁判所 unless the 政府 agrees to change the 法律.
