'Moonlight' sweeps Spirit Awards; Affleck 勝利，勝つs best actor
SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) - Sunday might be 支配するd by "La La Land," but Saturday belonged to "Moonlight."
Barry Jenkins' luminous coming-of-age tale swept Saturday's Film 独立した・無所属 Spirit Awards, taking home six awards 含むing best feature. "Moonlight" won every award it was 指名するd for at the 32nd 年次の indie awards, the dressed-負かす／撃墜する, beachside 儀式 held the day before the 学院 Awards.
"Moonlight" won for its directing, screenplay, cinematography and editing. It was also 栄誉（を受ける）d for its ensemble cast in the Spirit Awards' Robert Altman Award. Backstage, Jenkins said its tale of a poor, young, 黒人／ボイコット kid in Miami stood in stark contrast to 大統領 Donald Trump's 行政.

"I think 'Moonlight' 存在するs as a beacon of inclusivity," said Jenkins, 側面に位置するd by his African-American cast and 生産者s.
The afternoon 儀式 frequently had a strong political tenor. Casey Affleck, who won best actor for "Manchester by the Sea," wore a shirt with the word "love" in Arabic.

Host Nick Kroll and John Mulaney 持続するd a rigorously irreverent トン through a 儀式 often punctuated by belly laughs. In their 開始 monologue, Kroll mockingly defended the ありふれた 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金 of "自由主義の elitism" often thrown at Hollywood events like the Spirits.

Best actress went to Isabelle Huppert, the French actress of "Elle," who bested Natalie Portman and Annette Bening. Just as Affleck wasn't up against Oscar favorite Denzel Washington in best actor, the best actress 部類 was 行方不明の Emma 石／投石する of "La La Land."
Molly Shannon, the former "Saturday Night Live" cast member, 供給（する）d one of the afternoon's highpoints. She was visibly overjoyed by winning best supporting actress for her 業績／成果 in "Other People." She 結論するd her speech by exclaiming, "I really truly feel like a ... SUPERSTAR!" - aping her old "SNL" character.
Other awards also went to films far outside the Oscar 候補者s. Robert Eggers' 井戸／弁護士席-研究d "The Witch," 始める，決める in 17th century Massachusetts, won for both best first feature and best first screenplay. He thanked the Puritans for "令状ing 負かす／撃墜する so much stuff."
Ezra Edelma n's "O.J.: Made in America" took best 文書の. Best foreign language film went to Maren 広告's "Toni Erdmann."
The Cassavettes Award, which 栄誉（を受ける）s the best feature made for いっそう少なく than $500,000 went to Andrew Ahn's Korean gay-移民，移住（する） 演劇 "Spa Night." Taking the 行う／開催する／段階 Ahn first 発言／述べるd, "I'm going to barf," but quickly collected himself, speaking tenderly about his parents' 受託 of their gay son and the need for 受託 of 移民，移住（する）s, gays and other communities.
"We are part of this 広大な／多数の／重要な country," said Ahn. "And we are 否定できない."
