Alysia Montano competes again while 妊娠している at 国家のs

SACRAMENTO, California (AP) - Alysia Montano took two (競技場の)トラック一周s at 国家のs while 妊娠している with her first child. It was only fair she do the same with baby No 2.

Five months 妊娠している, the 800-メーター 走者 finished more than 19 seconds behind the winning time Thursday night at the U.S. 陸上競技 選手権s in extreme heat.

She never felt better.

"Amazing," said Montano, who chased her nearly 3-year-old daughter around after the race.

Wearing a customized Wonder Woman 最高の,を越す and the trademark flower in her hair, Montano finished in 2 minutes, 21.40 seconds to (太陽,月の)食/失墜 her previous-best pregnancy time by nearl y 11 seconds. Of course, she was eight months 妊娠している when she 試みる/企てるd the 努力する in 2014 at the same 跡をつける.

"Everyone is like, 'Oh, you're going to be faster than you were last time, because you're いっそう少なく 妊娠している," said Montano, whose personal-best time is 1:57.34 始める,決める in 2010. "I'm like, 'I'm still 妊娠している.'"

She said she wasn't worried about the 110-degree heat. She hydrated before the race and stayed in the shade until it was time to take the 跡をつける.

"There's something about coming out to any 発生地, not really 推定する/予想するing to 勝利,勝つ but just going along with the 旅行 and seeing what comes out of it," said Montano, who was dropped by her shoe sponsor and wore spikes decorated with flowers. "It's been fantastic."
