抱擁する, homely mastiff 指名するd Martha 勝利，勝つs world's ugliest dog
PETALUMA, Calif. (AP) - Martha is big, ugly, lazy and gassy. And a world 支持する／優勝者.
In a 競争 毎年 支配するd by the old, the tiny, and the hairless, the 3-year-old, 125-続けざまに猛撃する Neapolitan Mastiff used her lollygagging 青年 to 勝利，勝つ the 29th 年次の World's Ugliest Dog Contest.
She was a favorite of the Northern California （人が）群がる from the start, often plopping 負かす／撃墜する on her 味方する on 行う／開催する／段階 with her droopy 直面する spread across the ground when she was supposed to be showing off. The 裁判官s didn't even need to hear her 署名 snore to give her the award.

"Do you know you just won the World's Ugliest Dog 反対／詐欺 実験（する）?" asked Kerry やすりを削る人／削る機械s of NBC News, one of three 裁判官s who gave Martha the 栄冠を与える. Her handler Shirley Zindler answered for her: "I'd gloat, but I need a nap."
Martha 板材d away with $1,500, a flashy トロフィー and a trip to New York for マスコミ 外見s, all things she could hardly care いっそう少なく about.
The dog, from nearby Sebastopol, was 救助（する）d when she was nearly blind from neglect by the Dogwood Animal 救助（する） 事業／計画（する） in Sonoma 郡, where the contest was held. After several 外科s, she can now see again, Zindler said.
The only animal in this year's contest too big to be held by her handler, Martha （警官の）巡回区域，受持ち区域 out 13 other dogs, most of them the 肉親，親類d of older, smaller dogs who 勝利，勝つ here.
Moe, a 16-year-old Brussels Griffon-pug mix from Santa Rosa, California, who was the oldest in the 競争, （機の）カム in second. He had lost his 審理，公聴会 and sight but his sense of smell is strong and he was enjoying all the smells at the Sonoma-Marin Fair where the contest is held, 含むing funnel cakes and other fried goodies.
Chase, a 14-year-old Chinese Crested-Harke mix, （機の）カム all the way from Neath, 部隊d Kingdom to take third place.
The contestants were 裁判官d on first impressions, unusual せいにするs, personality and audience reaction.
Many of the contestants were 可決する・採択するd. Monkey, a 6-year-old Brussels Griffon, and Icky, an 8-year-old unknown 産む／飼育する, were both 救助（する）d from the homes of hoarders.
These dogs - some with acne, others with tongues 永久的に sticking out - are used to getting called ugly. But for their owners, it was love at first sight.
"He's my sexy boy," Vicky Adler, of Davis, California, said of her 8-year-old Chinese Crested 指名するd Zoomer.
