上院議員s ask 軍の to 明らかにする US 役割 in Yemen 拷問

That same day, McCain and Reed wrote a letter to 弁護 長官 Jim Mattis asking him to 行為／行う an 即座の review of the 報告（する）／憶測d 乱用 and what U.S. 軍隊s knew.

The AP's 報告（する）／憶測 詳細（に述べる）d a 網状組織 of secret 刑務所，拘置所s across southern Yemen where hundreds are 拘留するd in the 追跡（する） for al-Qaida 交戦的なs and held without 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金s. 弁護 公式の／役人s told the AP that the department had looked into 報告（する）／憶測s of 拷問 and 結論するd that its 職員／兵員 were not 伴う／関わるd or aware of any 乱用. The American 公式の／役人s 確認するd that the U.S. 供給するs questions to the Emiratis and receives transcripts of their 尋問s. The 公式の／役人s said the U.S. also 供給するs （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） to the UAE on 嫌疑者，容疑者／疑うd al-Qaida 交戦的なs that the U.S. believes should be 選ぶd up or questioned.
Yemeni Brig. Gen. Farag Salem al-Bahsani, 指揮官 of the Mukalla-based 2nd 軍の 地区, told the AP that many of those men were later 逮捕（する）d.
"I'm troubled by the 米国防総省's legalistic 返答s to these 報告（する）／憶測s that U.S. 公式の／役人s worked in 施設s where 拷問 was 普及した," Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden said in a 声明. "U.S. 同盟（する）s have an 義務 not to 拷問 and the 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業 for the U.S. is higher than '拷問 is 承認する if we don't see it.'"

The 18 lock-ups are run by the UAE and by Yemeni 軍隊s it created, によれば accounts from former 抑留者s, families of 囚人s, civil 権利s lawyers and Yemeni 軍の 公式の／役人s. At the Riyan airport in the southern Yemeni city of Mukalla, former inmates 述べるd shipping コンテナs smeared with feces and crammed with blindfolded 抑留者s. They said they were beaten, roasted alive on a spit and sexually 強襲，強姦d, の中で other 乱用. One 証言，証人／目撃する, who is a member of a Yemeni 安全 軍隊, said American 軍隊s were at times only yards (メーターs) away.
The UAE 省 of Foreign 事件／事情／状勢s said in a 声明 Friday that the 主張s are "完全に untrue" and a "political game" by Yemeni 民兵s to discredit a Saudi-led 連合 that 含むs the UAE. It says it does not run or 監督する any 刑務所，拘置所s in Yemen, and that any such 施設s are under "the juris diction of the Yemeni 合法的 当局."
Most of the 内密の 場所／位置s are run by either the Hadramawt エリート or 安全 Belt, Yemeni 軍隊s that were created, trained and 財政／金融d by the UAE. 公式に, they are under the 当局 of Yemen's 国祭的な 認めるd 政府, but 多重の Yemeni 政府 公式の／役人s told the AP they have no 支配（する）／統制する over them and they answer to the Emiratis.
At least three of the 刑務所，拘置所s, however, are 直接／まっすぐに run by the 首長国s, along with a fourth 刑務所，拘置所 住宅 Yemenis at an Emirati base in Eritrea, によれば four 上級の Yemeni 政府 and 軍の 公式の／役人s, former 抑留者s and families of 囚人s.
At Riyan Airport 刑務所，拘置所 in the southern Yemeni city of Mukalla, six former 抑留者s 述べるd hundreds of 囚人s held in shipping コンテナs and gave 広範囲にわたる accounts of 乱用s, 説 the officers in 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金 and those 行為／行うing 尋問s were Emiratis. The former 抑留者s and the 親族s of 囚人s spoke on 条件 of anonymity 恐れるing 報復 against themselves or their loved ones.
"We request that you direct an 即座の review of the facts and circumstances 関係のある to these 申し立てられた／疑わしい 乱用s, 含むing U.S. support to the Emirati and Yemeni partner 軍隊s that were purportedly 伴う／関わるd," the 国会議員s wrote.
McCain, a 海軍 操縦する during the Vietnam War, was 逮捕（する）d after his 計画（する） was 発射 負かす／撃墜する in 1967. He was 拘留するd for more than five and half years and 拷問d 繰り返して before he was 解放（する）d in 1973.
