Virginia's 知事's race draws big 指名するs from both parties
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Big 指名するs in both major 政党s are flocking to Virginia as the 明言する／公表する's closely watched race for 知事 enters its final days.
Virginia is the only 競争の激しい 知事's race in the country, and the contest between 共和国の／共和党の Ed Gillespie and 民主党員 Ralph Northam could be an 早期に 国民投票 on 大統領 Donald Trump's political 人気 ahead of the 2018 midterm 選挙s.
Former 司法長官 Eric 支えるもの／所有者 Jr. and U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris of California spent the 週末 at get-out-the-投票（する） 決起大会／結集させるs and 黒人／ボイコット churches trying to 決起大会／結集させる 民主党員s around the statewide ticket.

"Too many people sacrificed too much to give everybody the 権利 to 投票（する）," 支えるもの／所有者 said.
支えるもの／所有者 is chairman of the 国家の Democratic Redistricting 委員会, which 捜し出すs to elect 民主党員s in statewide 選挙s ahead of the next redistricting and has 投資するd ひどく in Northam's （選挙などの）運動をする.
The next Virginia 知事, to be elected on Nov. 7, also will have a major say in the 明言する／公表する's next congressional redistricting. Gillespie helped quarterback a 共和国の／共和党の wave in 州議会議事堂 選挙s around the country in 2010 - just before the last redistricting - that has helped the GOP 持続する a 会社／堅い 支配する on the U.S. House.
In Virginia, 民主党員s often complain of 不公平に drawn 地区s in the last 一連の会議、交渉／完成する, pointing out that 民主党員s 持つ／拘留する every statewide office but 共和国の／共和党のs have a 大多数 in both 明言する／公表する 議会s and in congressional seats.
