Konopka 降伏するd her license last month and went to 法廷,裁判所 Friday in an 成果/努力 to 回復する it.

Konopka doesn't have a computer in her office and doesn't know how to use one. Two とじ込み/提出する 閣僚s in a tiny waiting room inside a 160-year-old clapboard house 持つ/拘留する most of her 患者 記録,記録的な/記録するs. The only 調印する of 科学(工学)技術 in the waiting room is a landline telephone on her desk.

"The problem now is that I am not doing 確かな things on computer," said Konopka, who emigrated from Poland in 1961 and has decorated her office with family photos and symbols from her 母国. "I have to learn that. It is time 消費するing. I have no time."

によれば the 明言する/公表する, the 主張s against Konopka started with a (民事の)告訴 about her 治療 of a 7-year-old 患者 with 喘息. She's been (刑事)被告 of leaving dosing levels of one 医薬 up to the parents and failing to 扱う/治療する the 患者 with daily 吸い込むd steroids. Konopka, who agreed to a board けん責(する),戒告 in May, said she never 害(を与える)d the 患者 and the 問題/発行する was that the boy's mother 無視(する)d her 指示/教授/教育s.

Four more (民事の)告訴s have since been とじ込み/提出するd against Konopka. The board in September 投票(する)d to move 今後 with a disciplinary 審理,公聴会 on those (民事の)告訴s. But before the 審理,公聴会 was held, Konopka agreed in October to give up her license - something she said she was 軍隊d to do.

Konopka has built a loyal foll 借りがあるing in New London, 全住民 4,400, and surrounding towns because she brings a personal touch that is attractive to 患者s 疲れた/うんざりした of 戦う/戦いing big hospitals and inattentive doctors. She takes anyone willing to 支払う/賃金 her $50 in cash.

"I'm 利益/興味d in helping people. I didn't go to 薬/医学 for money, and I didn't make money," she said, 公式文書,認めるing she 作品 alone and can't afford things like and 行政の assistant or even a nurse.

Her 現在進行中の fight with the 明言する/公表する has 誘発するd 得点する/非難する/20s of 患者s to 令状 letters on her に代わって and call her 繰り返して to check on her 事例/患者. Several of Konopka's 患者s …に出席するd Friday's 審理,公聴会, some admitting they had struggled since she stopped seeing them.

"It stinks, but you have to find a new doctor, and it's a ネズミ race," said Stanley Wright, who saw Konopka the past year for chronic 支援する 苦痛. "The doctor I had before was over-medicating me, and she gives me a lot of herbal stuff and I was doing a lot better. Now, I'm 支援する to 存在 screwed. I don't know what to do."

At the 審理,公聴会, Konopka told Merrimack Superior 法廷,裁判所 裁判官 John Kissinger that her 無(不)能 to practice is putting her 患者s at 危険 because they are having a hard time finding another 内科医 and getting 麻薬 prescriptions.

"If I の近くに my office, they will be without 医療の care," she told the 法廷,裁判所. "Some of them need 医薬s. Who will 定める/命ずる for them if I don't have a license? I worry what will happen to them."

Kissinger did not 支配する Friday on Konopka's request.

Assistant 司法長官 Lyn Cusack said Konopka's request should be 否定するd, arguing the doctor has been given plenty of time to の近くに her practice and help 患者s find other doctors. She also said Konopka hasn't 供給するd any 証拠 she was 軍隊d to give up her license. If she wants to get her licens e 支援する, Cusack said, Konopka could とじ込み/提出する for reconsideration with the Board of 薬/医学.
