FORT BRAGG, N.C. (AP) - Army Sgt. 屈服する Bergdahl, who walked away from his 地位,任命する in Afghanistan and 誘発する/引き起こすd a search that left some of his comrades 厳しく 負傷させるd, was spared a 刑務所,拘置所 宣告,判決 by a 軍の 裁判官 Friday in what 大統領 Donald Trump 爆破d as a "完全にする and total 不名誉."

The 裁判官 gave no explanation of how he arrived at his 決定/判定勝ち(する), but he reviewed 証拠 that 含むd the five years Bergdahl was held 捕虜 by the Taliban and the 負傷させるs 苦しむd by 軍隊/機動隊s who searched for him, 含むing one who now uses a 車椅子 and cannot speak.

The 裁判官 支配するd that Bergdahl to get dishonorable 発射する/解雇する, lose 階級, 没収される 支払う/賃金 in 新規加入 to getting no 刑務所,拘置所 time. The 裁判官 also gave the 31-year-old a dishonorable 発射する/解雇する, 減ずるd his 階級 from sergeant to 私的な and ordered him to 没収される 支払う/賃金 equal to $1,000 per month for 10 months.

In 法廷,裁判所, Bergdahl appeared 緊張した, grimaced and clenched his jaw. His 弁護士/代理人/検事s put their 武器 around him and one patted him on the 支援する. One 弁護 弁護士/代理人/検事 cried after the 宣告,判決 was 発表するd.

弁護 lawyer Eugene Fidell told reporters that his (弁護士の)依頼人 had "looked 今後 to today for a long time."

Bergdahl "is 感謝する to everyone who searched for him," 特に those who "heroically 支えるd 傷害s," Fidell 追加するd.

Trump's 声明 (機の)カム in a tweet about 90 minutes after the 宣告,判決ing. "The 決定/判定勝ち(する) on Sergeant Bergdahl is a 完全にする and total 不名誉 to our Country and to our 軍の," the 大統領,/社長 wrote.

Bergdahl pleaded 有罪の last month to desertion and misbehavior before the enemy. The 裁判官 had wide 余裕/偏流 in deciding the 宣告,判決 because Bergdahl made no を取り引きする 検察官,検事s to 限界 his 罰.

検察官,検事s had sought a stiff 刑罰,罰則 because of 負傷させるs 苦しむd by service members who searched for Berg dahl after he disappeared in 2009.

The 弁護 sought to 反対する that 証拠 with 証言 about Bergdahl's 苦しむing as a 捕虜, his 出資/貢献s to 軍の 知能 and 生き残り training and his mental health problems. The argument for leniency also 特記する/引用するd Trump's 厳しい (選挙などの)運動をする-追跡する 批評.

The dishonorable 発射する/解雇する 脅すs to 奪う Bergdahl of most or all his 退役軍人s' 利益s, but it also 誘発する/引き起こすs an (a)自動的な/(n)自動拳銃 控訴,上告 to a higher 軍の 法廷,裁判所. Before that, a general who can 減ずる, but not 増加する, the 宣告,判決 will also review it.

Fidell told reporters that he looks 今後 to the 控訴,上告s 法廷,裁判所 review of Trump's (選挙などの)運動をする 声明s, which the 大統領,/社長 appeared to 再確認する on the day Bergdahl pleaded 有罪の last month.

As a 候補者, Trump "made really 驚くべき/特命の/臨時の reprehensible comments 的d 直接/まっすぐに at our (弁護士の)依頼人," Fidell told reporters Friday, calling the 状況/情勢 "one of the most preposterous 明言する/公表するs of 事件/事情/状勢s" in American 合法的な history. He said the 弁護 team sees "an 極端に strong basis for 解雇/(訴訟の)却下 of the 事例/患者."

Earlier in the week, Bergdahl 述べるd the 残虐な 条件s of his 捕らわれた, 含むing beatings with 巡査 wire, unending 一区切り/(ボクシングなどの)試合s of gastrointestinal problems brought on by squalid 条件s and maddening periods of 孤立/分離. After several escape 試みる/企てるs, he was placed in a cage for four years, and his muscles atrophied to the point he could barely stand or walk.

A psychiatrist 証言するd that his 決定/判定勝ち(する) to leave his 地位,任命する was 影響(力)d by a schizophrenia-like 条件 called schizotypal personality disorder that made it hard to understand the consequences of his 活動/戦闘s, 同様に as 地位,任命する-traumatic 強調する/ストレス disorder brought on partly by a difficult childhood.

検察官,検事s, who had asked for a 宣告,判決 of 14 years in 刑務所,拘置所, did not speak to reporters. But one of them, Maj. Justin Oshana, said during の近くにing arguments Thursday that Bergdahl "does not have a monopoly on 苦しむing as a result of his choices."

得点する/非難する/20s of 軍隊/機動隊s joined in an all-out search for Bergdahl in the weeks after he abandoned his remote 地位,任命する 近づく the Afghan town of Mest.

検察官,検事s 特記する/引用するd two 使節団s that resulted in 負傷させるs, 含むing a 兵士 whose 手渡す was 粉々にするd by a ロケット/急騰する-propelled 手りゅう弾 and another who 苦しむd a 長,率いる 負傷させる that put him in a 車椅子 and (判決などを)下すd him unable to speak. A 海軍 SEAL 苦しむd a career-ending 脚 負傷させる, and a 軍の dog was killed by an 謀反の 解雇する/砲火/射撃ing an AK-47.

The 裁判官 支配するd that those firefights would not have happened if not for Bergdahl.

One of the 負傷させるd 兵士s, Jonathan Morita of California, called the 欠如(する) of 刑務所,拘置所 time "容認できない." Morita, who 証言するd during 宣告,判決ing, still does not have 十分な use of his 支配的な 手渡す after he was 攻撃する,衝突する by the RPG, which did not 爆発する.

"The dishonorable 発射する/解雇する means he can't receive any of these services like I can. He'll 支払う/賃金 the 罰金 like people get 罰金d for 違法な fishing. Ok, whoop-de-doo," Morita said in a phone interview.

Referring to the 欠如(する) of 刑務所,拘置所 time, he said: "That's the one that's 完全に 容認できない. It should have maybe not been the life 宣告,判決, but it should have been something."

Without confinement hanging over him, Bergdahl already has a 職業 申し込む/申し出 from an animal 聖域, and a 軍の 公式の/役人 who helps design 生き残り training said he would like to use Bergdahl as a part of lectures to service members on how to 生き残る 捕らわれた.

The 兵士 from Hailey, Idaho, was brought home by Obama in 2014 in a 交換(する) for five Taliban 囚人s held at Guantanamo Bay. He has been working a desk 職業 at a 軍の 取り付け・設備 in San Antonio and has not been under any pretrial 制限s.

At the time of Bergdahl's 解放(する), Obama said the U.S. does not leave service members on the 戦場. 共和国の/共和党のs roundly 非難するd Obama, and Trump went その上の while (選挙などの)運動をするing for 大統領,/社長, 繰り返して calling Bergdahl a 反逆者 who deserved serious 罰.
