Newseum to 栄誉（を受ける） 伝説の 黒人／ボイコット 新聞記者／雑誌記者 with statue
WASHINGTON (AP) - A 開拓するing 黒人／ボイコット, 女性（の） 新聞記者／雑誌記者 is 存在 栄誉（を受ける）d with a statue in the nation's 資本／首都.
A life-size sculpture of Alice Allison Dunnigan, the first African-American woman credentialed to cover the White House, will go on 陳列する，発揮する next month at the Newseum, the nonprofit news museum in Washington.
Dunnigan, a native of Russellville, Kentucky, became 長，率いる of the Associated Negro 圧力（をかける）' Washington bureau in 1947. In 1948, she covered 大統領 Harry Truman's whistle-stop （選挙などの）運動をする 小旅行する, the first 黒人／ボイコット, 女性（の） 新聞記者／雑誌記者 to do so.
Dunnigan also was the first 黒人／ボイコット woman to 得る 圧力（をかける） 信任状 to cover 議会, the 明言する／公表する Department and the 最高裁判所. She died in 1983.
The bronze sculpture of Dunnigan was created by Kentucky sculptor Amanda Matthews. It will be 陳列する，発揮するd at the Newseum from Sept. 21 until Dec. 16, then moved to Dunnigan's hometown.
