MADISON, Ill. (AP) - The 最新の on the IndyCar race at Gateway Motorsports Park (all times 地元の):
9:50 p.m.
Will 力／強力にする got the 燃料 戦略 権利 to 勝利，勝つ Saturday night's IndyCar race at Gateway Motorsports Park, keeping his 選手権 hopes alive and giving team owner Roger Penske another 勝利，勝つ at the 跡をつける.

The Indy 500 勝利者 took a splash of 燃料 late in the race, 許すing 力／強力にする to go wide open. That was enough to stay in 前線 of Alexander Rossi, who tried to 保存する 燃料 for more than 60 （競技場の）トラック一周s and 負傷させる up making one いっそう少なく stop to finish second.
Rossi, the 勝利者 the last two races at 中央の-Ohio and Pocono, 負傷させる up nipping into the points lead of Scott Dixon, who finished third. Simon Pagenaud was fourth and Zach Veach was fifth.

Scott Dixon continues to lead at the halfway point of the IndyCar race at Gateway, though an 利益／興味ing 燃料-mileage race is beginning to develop on the 1.25-mile oval.
Most cars have been able to go about 60 （競技場の）トラック一周s between stops, or just shy of a ４半期/4分の1 of the 248-（競技場の）トラック一周 race. Some drivers, such as Alexander Rossi and Takuma Sato, have been getting good mileage and have been able to 延長する their 炭坑，オーケストラ席 window to 63 or 64 （競技場の）トラック一周s.
In essence, they've been able to turn a four-stop race into a three-stop race.

There's been a 衝突，墜落 on the 開始 （競技場の）トラック一周 of the IndyCar race at Gateway Motorsports Park for the second straight year after Sebastien Bourdais got into the outside 塀で囲む coming out of Turn 2.
Scott Dixon had just led the field to green when Bourdais appeared to lose his car.
The race began about an hour after Schmidt Peterson Motorsports 発表するd that Robert Wickens, who was 本気で 負傷させるd in a 難破させる last week at Pocono, was breathing with 医療の help. The Canadian driver also was speaking with his family for the first time since his 衝突，墜落.
His team was fielding only James Hinchcliffe's car in Saturday night's race.

Scott Dixon is on the 政治家 for the IndyCar race at Gateway Motorsports Park, where qualifying was washed out and the series standings were used to 決定する the starting order.
Alexander Rossi has won the past two races to 阻止する into Dixon's lead. Rossi was also 急速な／放蕩な in the two practice 開会／開廷／会期s that were squeezed in ahead of Saturday night's race.
It's the first race for IndyCar since Robert Wickens was 伴う／関わるd in a terrifying 難破させる last week at Pocono. Wickens' car touched Ryan Hunter-Reay's, and he went spinning into the catch 盗品故買者. His car was obliterated and he was left with serious 傷害s to his spinal cord and extremities.
Wickens has undergone a 一連の 操作／手術s and remains in a Pennsylvania hospital.
