McCollum leads 追跡する Blazers in 129-95 大勝する of 76ers

McCollum broke out of a six-game funk on Sunday night, hitting 13 of 18 発射s in a 35-point 業績／成果 as the 追跡する Blazers 敗北・負かすd the Philadelphia 76ers 129-95.

"I don't think there's any question that he was going to 勃発する at some point," Portland coach Terry Stotts said. "Good for him. Good for us."
McCollum's white-hot night was felt throughout the team, as the Blazers 発射 a season-high 59 パーセント in 大勝するing Philadelphia. Al-Farouq Aminu had 16 points, Damian Lillard 15 and Jusuf Nurkic 14 for Portland.
Ben Simmons 得点する／非難する／２０d 19 points to lead the 76ers, who were without 中心 Joel Embiid 予定 to soreness in his left 膝. Embiid leads Philadelphia in 得点する／非難する／２０ing (26.5 points) and 回復するs (13.3).

McCollum gave 調印するs of a turnaround during a five-minute stint of the first ４半期/4分の1, hitting his first three 発射s. McCollum then played the entire second ４半期/4分の1 and continued to sizzle, making 7 of 11 発射s.
From McCollum's viewpoint, nothing changed Sunday from the previous six games - other than the ball going through the basket on a 正規の／正選手 basis.
"I've been getting some of the same looks I've been getting my entire life, and I wasn't making them. But I understand how I approach the game, how much time I put in. . I 人物／姿／数字d the tide would turn 結局," McCollum said.
"I felt good the last few games. I just tried to get into a rhythm. I made some 発射s and that made it a little easier for everyone else."
McCollum's 狙撃 回復する was part of the puzzle for Portland. Without Embiid inside, the Blazers 扱うd Philadelphia on the boards 59-36.
Several 76ers said the energy wasn't there defensively. Philadelphia coach Brett Brown said the loss of Embiid was a blow.
"I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I think he's a 防御の player of the year," Brown said. "Whether you look at points in the paint, whether you look at the 回復するing 利ざや. . The guys that we had, we just struggled defending them."

NURKIC BREAKING OUT

"It's very encouraging," Stotts said. "It's part of his growth. But he's got to continue it."
